Chairman Zhang Xiangyang Visits Xu Ningning, the Executive Director of China-ASEAN Business Council
On March 19, 2015, according to the requirement of Cooperation Memorandum between China-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) and Nantong Government, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang as requested by Nantong Government, left for Beijing and visited the Executive Director of CABC Xu Ningning. Both parties held in-depth discussion and reached consensus as to the establishment of China-ASEAN Construction Industry Association in Nantong.
China–ASEAN Business Council is one of the five main dialog cooperation mechanisms between China and ASEAN. Former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji attended the council’s establishment meeting in 2001. Since the council founded, it has been working on China-ASEAN trade and economic cooperation which greatly promoted the establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) and Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Economic Cooperation Program. CABC consists of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the national business leaders, well-known enterprisers and experts of members of ASEAN.
