Setting a Benchmark for Green Building Construction

Recently, the new construction project for a 5G high-efficiency thermal-management module has been awarded LEED Gold certification, making it the Group’s first project to receive this recognition. LEED is one of the most comprehensive, authoritative, and influential international standards for environmental assessment and sustainability evaluation of buildings, and it is also China’s first internationally recognized green-building certification system to be officially approved and issued. Owing to its rigorous, professionally designed certification criteria and stringent application and review process, LEED is widely regarded as one of the world’s most professional green-building rating tools; the certification is often referred to as the “Oscar” of the green-building industry and enjoys significant international influence.
The general construction contract for the 5G High-Efficiency Heat-Sink Module Project, undertaken by the Wuxi Branch, is located on the south side of Tengfei Road and the east side of Jingxi North Road in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. The project has a total floor area of 61,020.23 square meters and comprises R&D Building A1#, Workshop B1#, Warehouse C1#, and various ancillary facilities. Invested and constructed by Beijing Zhongshi Weiye Technology Yixing Co., Ltd., the project is a key initiative in Wuxi City and, upon completion, is expected to position the city as a global leader in shaping 5G standards and driving industry development.
During construction, the Project Management Department has set the goals of achieving green construction and obtaining LEED certification. To this end, it has developed a comprehensive construction-process certification management system in accordance with the LEED-NC Green Building Rating System, implemented robust site-environmental protection measures, actively promoted green construction technologies, and integrated leading domestic and international green benchmark frameworks. By maintaining high standards across key dimensions such as energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and occupant comfort, the department has demonstrated the 5G High-Efficiency Heat-Sink Module Construction Project’s relentless pursuit of green, low-carbon building practices. This effort has not only accumulated substantial experience for future green construction projects but also established a model and catalytic role for the company’s broader adoption of green construction methodologies.
