Chairman Zhang Xiangyang Offers High-Temperature Comfort to Frontline Employees

Since mid-July, temperatures have risen steadily, with scorching sun beating down day after day. Frontline workers at all project sites under the Group have been working tirelessly and holding their ground, and the prolonged heat has been a constant concern for the Group’s leadership. On August 5, Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group, led a team to visit and extend condolences to frontline employees at projects in the Nantong area, officially kicking off this year’s summer heat-relief outreach program. Accompanying him were Zhong Yiming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager as well as General Manager of the Third Branch Company; Yin Yougen, Deputy General Manager; Li Guang, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of the Wuxi Branch Company; Qiu Lin, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of the First Branch Company; and Wang Shaobo, Chairman of the Trade Union, among others.

Chairman Zhang Xiangyang and his delegation subsequently visited the CR21032 land parcel construction project—buildings 1–19 and the basement—at the Third Branch Company, the former thermal power plant site construction project in Qidong City at the First Branch Company, and the Dongcheng annual production capacity of 1,128 project at the Wuxi Branch Company. During the visit to the 10,000-unit electric-tool production project, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang extended heartfelt care and greetings to frontline workers who are tirelessly on the job. At each site, he warmly inquired after the well-being of the project’s on-site staff working under scorching temperatures, expressing his gratitude for their steadfast dedication in the sweltering heat. He shook hands with them, engaged in friendly conversation, and presented cooling and heat-protection supplies, urging them to strike a balance between work and rest while remaining at their posts to ensure their personal safety and health. He also instructed all subsidiaries and project offices to make scientifically informed adjustments to outdoor work schedules based on temperature conditions and actual working needs, implement effective personnel rotation, and meticulously arrange living and dining arrangements for employees during summer construction, with particular attention to food hygiene and safety, so as to enable frontline workers to focus on their tasks with peace of mind and safely weather the summer. In view of the fact that high-temperature periods are prone to frequent safety incidents, he emphasized that all project offices must rigorously uphold workplace safety, maintain constant vigilance, carefully organize construction and production activities, ensure the timely completion of milestone targets, and absolutely prevent any safety accidents from occurring.

During the visit of condolence, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang and his delegation also went deep into the construction site to gain a thorough understanding of the project’s progress. He urged all project teams to spare no effort in implementing robust process management, with a firm focus on quality, schedule adherence, safety, cost reduction, performance enhancement, and brand strengthening. In the conference room of the Dongcheng 11.28-million-unit-per-year power-tool production project office under the Wuxi Branch, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang listened carefully to a special report delivered by Wang Jinfeng, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Group, Deputy General Manager of the Wuxi Branch, and Project Manager, on the project’s cost-management efforts. He expressed full recognition and high praise for the team’s preliminary contract planning, cost-management strategy, cost-improvement initiatives, project-funding plan, and dynamic cost-analysis work. He emphasized that the current cost-management practices at this project fully embody the essence of the Group’s refined management approach and serve as a key lever for advancing the company’s high-quality development going forward. He further instructed all subsidiaries and project teams to take this project as a model and rigorously implement meticulous cost-management practices.

This visit of condolence brought a refreshing sense of relief and sincere concern to frontline employees, further boosting their enthusiasm for work. The frontline staff expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the company and to Chairman Zhang Xiangyang for their thoughtful care and support. They pledged to take this gesture as an opportunity to transform such warm concern into unwavering motivation, stay firmly focused on the year’s goals and tasks, continue to strive with determination, press ahead with perseverance, and deliver outstanding results through concrete actions that reflect high-quality development.
