Zhang Ningning, President of the Jiangsu Provincial Construction Industry Association, Visits Our Company for Research and Guidance

On the afternoon of August 9, Zhang Ningning, President of the Jiangsu Provincial Construction Industry Association, led a research team on the “Development of BIM and Intelligent Construction in Jiangsu’s Construction Industry” to conduct an on-site investigation at our company. Ji Jinfā, President of the Nantong Municipal Construction Industry Association, and Gao Ming, Secretary-General, accompanied the delegation, while Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group, Zhang Zhongda, General Manager, and other leaders also attended the visit.
Chairman Zhang Xiangyang first extended, on behalf of the company’s cadres and employees, a warm welcome to President Zhang Ningning and her delegation for their visit to the company to conduct research and provide guidance. He also expressed sincere gratitude to the provincial association for its longstanding care and support for the company’s reform and development. He then provided an overview of the company’s current business performance and development, the major challenges it faces, and the measures being taken to address them. He stated that, despite the extremely challenging industry environment, Nantong Construction Group is confident and capable—under the close attention and support of Party committees and governments at all levels as well as industry associations—to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, earnestly put the new development philosophy into practice, focus on forging a new development paradigm, and make vigorous efforts to advance transformation and upgrading, foster innovative development, and achieve high-quality growth. In doing so, the company will continue to make new contributions to building Nantong into a leading city for construction in the new era and Jiangsu Province into a strong province for construction!
General Manager Zhang Zhongda reported on the company’s progress in BIM-plus smart construction. In recent years, the company has steadily increased its investment in and application of BIM-plus smart construction, while strengthening its hardware and software infrastructure and enhancing the capabilities of its specialized personnel. To date, the company has won a total of 5 national-level BIM competition awards, 8 provincial-level BIM competition awards, and 14 municipal-level BIM competition awards. Each year, the company allocates more than RMB 1 million to BIM-related applications and incentives. Currently, the company has achieved intelligent construction-site management across all projects and has been recognized as an outstanding project in the provincial dynamic data verification for smart construction sites on eight occasions. He also put forward recommendations and suggestions for advancing the development of BIM-plus smart construction in the province’s construction industry.
President Zhang Ningning provided a detailed overview of the current state of smart construction development in Jiangsu Province, emphasizing that the application of BIM+ technology is a key strategic directive issued by the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban–Rural Development for the advancement of the construction industry. He stressed that enterprises should prioritize the deployment of BIM+–driven smart construction in key projects and priority sectors, while simultaneously promoting and refining IT- and digital-based applications such as functionally optimized production of intelligent equipment, the use of robotics, and innovations in smart construction sites. Developing BIM+–enabled smart construction is a crucial step in facilitating the transition from traditional to new construction methodologies and in driving high-quality growth across the industry. President Zhang commended Nantong Construction Engineering Group for its remarkable achievements in BIM+–based smart construction, and expressed the hope that the company will continue to steadily advance smart construction on key projects, accelerate the coordinated development of the construction industry and smart construction, promote intelligent transformation, deepen the integration of project delivery with BIM+, generate fresh insights for the further development of smart construction, advance the digital transformation of the sector, and position smart construction as a critical driver of the company’s high-quality growth—thereby setting an exemplary standard for the transformation and upgrading of construction enterprises throughout the province.
