The Group Company Holds a Basketball Friendly Match with the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau System

On the afternoon of October 28, an intense basketball game was in full swing at the Banana Time Basketball Park—a friendly match jointly organized by the Group Company and the Nantong Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development System. The Group Company’s team consisted of 10 players from the Third Branch Company and the First Branch Company, while the Nantong Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development System’s team comprised 15 players from the Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau, the Municipal Construction Safety Production Supervision Station, the Municipal Quality Supervision Station, and the Municipal Construction Engineering Quality Testing Center.
Wang Zhixiang, Deputy Director of the Nantong Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau; Yuan Tao, Director of the Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau; Tang Wei, Deputy Director of the Municipal Quality Supervision Station; Ruan Ruwei, Director of the Municipal Construction Safety Production Supervision Station, and other leaders personally took part in this friendly match as players. Zhang Jinrong, a fourth-level researcher at the Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau; Wang Shaobo, Chairman of the Group Company’s Trade Union; Ji Yan, Deputy Director of the Party and Mass Work Department; Wang Xaqian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the First Branch Company, and others were on hand as cheerleaders, rallying support for the team.
Chairman Wang Shaobo delivered a speech and officially declared the match open, followed by the ceremonial kickoff conducted by Researcher Zhang Jinrong. Throughout the game, the players demonstrated great enthusiasm and gave their all, while the cheerleaders in the stands fervently cheered them on. The referees officiated with impartiality, rigor, and meticulous attention to detail, making fair calls on every play. Both teams also displayed sportsmanship, prioritizing the spirit of the game and respecting the officials, thereby showcasing both style and skill. After a fiercely contested match, the two sides ultimately shook hands in a 63–63 draw.
As a key initiative of the Group Trade Union, the basketball friendly match will be a mandatory annual event going forward. Through this activity, employees’ extracurricular cultural lives have been enriched, fostering closer and more amicable exchanges with the relevant supervisory authorities. Amidst demanding work schedules, the event has enlivened the workplace atmosphere, provided much-needed mental relaxation, and, using basketball as a common bond, strengthened friendships among young staff—leaving behind cherished memories for all.
