On November 21, the launch and awards ceremony for the 5th Nantong Construction Industry “Jianghai Cup” BIM Technology Application Competition was grandly held in Nantong. More than 100 representatives of BIM professionals from construction enterprises across the city, along with industry experts, gathered to witness the annual highlight of the Nantong Construction Industry “Jianghai Cup” BIM Technology Application Competition. Shen Weixing, Second-Level Inspector of the Nantong Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the “Jianghai Cup” BIM Technology Application Competition, Ji Jinfā, President of the Nantong Construction Industry Association, Song Chenming, Vice President of the Association and Chairman of Nantong Eighth Construction Group, and other members of the organizing committee took their seats on the rostrum. The meeting was chaired by Tao Changyin, Honorary President of the Nantong Construction Industry Association and Chairman of the Board of Huajian Construction Group.
The 5th “Jianghai Cup” BIM Technology Application Competition was guided by the Nantong Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau and organized by the Nantong Construction Industry Association. A total of 32 entries from construction firms, design institutes, project owners, and other entities were submitted. Following a fair, impartial, and rigorous multi-stage evaluation by the competition’s judging panel, 10 entries advanced to the final round, resulting in the awarding of 4 First-Class Awards, 7 Second-Class Awards, 14 Third-Class Awards, and 7 Excellence Awards. Our company, after passing the preliminary review and the on-site defense, secured 1 First-Class Award, 1 Second-Class Award, and 1 Third-Class Award. Specifically, “Comprehensive BIM Application for the Hotel Apartments in Phase II of Nantong Xinghu City Plaza” took first place overall and was awarded the First-Class Prize; “BIM Technology Application in Phase III of the New Campus of Chongqing University of Science and Technology” received the Second-Class Prize; and “BIM Application during the Interior Fit-out Phase of the Nantong Rail Transit Line 1 Phase I Project at the Nengda Business District Station” was awarded the Third-Class Prize.
The conference specially commended the organizations that achieved outstanding results in the Nantong Construction Industry “Jianghai Cup” BIM Technology Application Competition for the 2019–2023 period, and our company was awarded the prestigious “Outstanding Achievement Unit” prize, which is presented every five years. Over the past five years, Nantong Construction Engineering has repeatedly won awards in this competition, serving as a testament to the company’s growth and accomplishments in the field of BIM technology application. This recognition reflects the high level of appreciation that the Nantong construction industry accorded to Nantong Construction Engineering’s BIM implementation capabilities, underscoring the company’s industry-leading innovation and solid technical foundation in BIM applications, and marking another significant milestone in the accelerated digital transformation and development of its business operations.
