Release Date:
2024-04-02
To enhance employees’ fire safety awareness, verify the functionality of the branch company’s fire-fighting facilities and the emergency response team’s ability to handle fires, and improve staff members’ capabilities in fire suppression, evacuation, and self-rescue as well as managers’ skills in on-site organization, coordination, and command during fire emergencies, the Third Branch Company conducted an emergency rescue and fire drill in the headquarters compound on the morning of March 9.

During the event, Mao Xiangqian, Manager of the Safety Production Department of the Third Branch Company, began by explaining to employees essential fire safety knowledge, including how to inspect for and eliminate fire hazards in daily work, how to respond effectively in the event of a fire, and how to organize the evacuation of personnel. He then demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers and allowed employees to practice using them to extinguish incipient fires. Following this, with Wang Shaobo, Chairman of the Group Company’s Trade Union and Deputy General Manager of the Third Branch Company, serving as the overall commander, the fire emergency rescue drill officially commenced. Upon the occurrence of an emergency inside the building, the branch company’s fire suppression team, evacuation guidance team, medical rescue team, and other response units immediately received the emergency order, promptly assembled their members, donned their emergency rescue equipment, and swiftly proceeded to the designated location. Through the concerted efforts of all rescue personnel, the mission was successfully completed.
Participants noted that this exercise has enabled them to remain calmer in the face of fire emergencies and to carry out evacuation and firefighting operations more scientifically. Moving forward, the branch will continue to conduct in-depth fire emergency response drills at project sites, further strengthening employees’ fire prevention and control capabilities as well as their ability to respond effectively to and manage unexpected incidents, thereby solidifying the company’s fire safety defenses.
