Nanjing Company Holds a Symposium on Subcontract Management

To implement the Group Company’s “Administrative Measures for Subcontract Management of Projects,” the Nanjing Branch convened a special symposium on subcontract management to study and deploy the branch’s work in this area. The meeting was chaired by General Manager Wang Jun and attended by members of the branch’s leadership team, heads of various departments, relevant management personnel, as well as representatives of some project managers and project contractors.

The meeting pointed out that strengthening the management of subcontracting contracts is an urgent necessity for enhancing project management under the new circumstances; it is a crucial component of refined cost management for projects; it serves as a key link in ensuring the smooth progress of construction; and it is an important lever for reducing project costs and mitigating risks. Effective management of subcontracting contracts has far-reaching implications for the high-quality development of enterprises.

The meeting took the Group Company’s “Administrative Measures for Subcontracting Contracts in Projects” as its central theme. Drawing on a systematic review and categorization of subcontracting contract disputes and litigation cases handled by branch companies in recent years, the meeting analyzed the root causes of such disputes, cited relevant legal principles and precedents, and used specific cases to illustrate key points. It then proposed targeted strategies and measures for each stage—ranging from qualification review and contract negotiation and execution to amendment and termination, process control, after-sales service, settlement auditing, document archiving, authorization, and risk management—to effectively address these challenges.

Attendees actively and enthusiastically shared their insights, drew on personal experiences, and expressed their individual views, creating a lively atmosphere. The meeting lasted from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Following the meeting, the branch company will promptly summarize and organize the discussion points, formulate the Implementation Details for Subcontract Management at the Nanjing Branch, and revise and refine these details to produce a new version of the subcontract agreement, thereby striving to elevate the level of project management.
