Beijing Branch Holds 2024 Work Resumption Mobilization Meeting

On March 29, the Beijing Branch held a 2024 resumption-of-work mobilization meeting, with the theme of pooling forces to “turn crisis into opportunity” and bolstering confidence in “seeking progress through stability.” Approximately 150 attendees were present, including members of the branch’s leadership team, heads of functional departments, project managers, representatives of model collectives, and outstanding managers. The meeting was chaired by Xia Dejun, Vice Chairman of the Group Trade Union and Deputy General Manager of the Beijing Branch.
The meeting commenced with Xu Yongjun, Chief Engineer of the Shijiazhuang Branch, conveying and implementing the spirit of the Group’s conference on work safety, providing an interpretation of Deputy General Manager Yin Yougen’s “2024 Work Safety Report,” and communicating the key points of Chairman Zhang Xiangyang’s address at the work safety conference. Subsequently, awards were presented to projects that won honors in 2023, as well as to advanced collectives, outstanding managers, and exemplary project departments recognized for their outstanding visual presentation in 2023.
Finally, Zhang Zhongda, General Manager of the Group Company and also General Manager of the Beijing Branch, delivered a work report at the meeting. The report reviewed the achievements attained by the Beijing Branch in 2023, identified the challenges that still remain, and outlined a comprehensive plan for the work ahead in 2024. The report emphasized that the Beijing Branch must adhere to the overarching goal of “turning crises into opportunities for survival,” firmly uphold the guiding principle of “de-risking and strengthening control to ensure survival and pursue high-quality development,” and prioritize the following six key areas: first, place “stable operations” at the forefront to consolidate the foundation of enterprise development; second, treat “risk reduction” as a non-negotiable requirement to safeguard the safe operation of the enterprise; third, regard “improving profitability” as an urgent task to enhance the fundamental underpinnings of enterprise development; fourth, view “enhancing quality” as the cornerstone of our competitive edge in the market; fifth, see “boosting vitality” as the core driver to stimulate innovation and creativity across the organization; and sixth, regard “strengthening Party building” as a vital guiding force to rally collective strength in overcoming difficulties and forging ahead.
In closing, General Manager Zhang emphasized that, under the strong leadership of the Group, all cadres and employees of the Beijing Branch must fully understand their responsibilities, shoulder them with commitment, and translate them into concrete actions. They should adopt the mindset of “success need not be attributed to me” while embracing the sense of responsibility that “my contribution is essential to success,” approaching their work with the attitude of dedicated strivers and the spirit of challengers. They must focus relentlessly on implementing targets and tasks, remain firmly problem-oriented in their execution, and boldly pioneer and innovate in their efforts. Only through earnest, pragmatic action and a vigorous final sprint can we ensure the comprehensive achievement of all 2024 objectives and tasks.
