Lu Zhijian, Deputy Secretary of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, Visits and Inspects the UAE Branch

On June 23 local time, Lu Zhijian, Deputy Secretary of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, and his delegation, who were on a visit to the United Arab Emirates, paid a visit to the Group’s UAE branch for inspection and research.
During the inspection and research visit, Pei Yonghong, General Manager of the UAE Branch and Executive President of the UAE Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Business Association, briefed Deputy Secretary Lu Zhijian and his delegation on the development history of Nantong Construction Engineering Group and its market expansion in the UAE. Established in March 2020, the UAE Branch holds unlimited general contracting qualifications for construction in the UAE and operates four branch offices covering the emirates of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, the branch has six projects under construction and two completed and handed-over projects, with a total contract value of RMB 1.6 billion.
“Nantong Construction Engineering Group is a highly influential large-scale construction enterprise in China, and I have long been familiar with its reputation.” After listening to the briefing, Secretary Lu fully affirmed Nantong Construction Engineering’s more than 70-year history of development and highly commended the significant contributions the company has made to the nation across different periods. He expressed the hope that the UAE branch would continue to strive for excellence, build on its past achievements, and deliver even greater results in promoting economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between China and the United Arab Emirates.
Zhang Rui, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Wuxi Municipal People’s Government, Yu Yongjun, Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission, Huang Huasheng, Deputy Director of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, and other officials accompanied the research visit.
Chen Zhongqi, Executive President of the UAE Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Cheng Changyong, Secretary of the Party Branch and Deputy General Manager of the UAE Branch; Mao Jianbing, Chief Financial Officer; and other officials participated in the inspection and research visit.
