The Group Company Ranked Among the “Top 80 Chinese Contractors”

On December 9, the 2024 ENR/Architectural Times “Top 80 Chinese Contractors and Top 60 Engineering Design Firms” awards ceremony, co-hosted by Architectural Times and U.S. Engineering News-Record (ENR), was held in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. The Group was recognized as one of the “Top 80 Chinese Contractors” in the 2024 ENR/Architectural Times ranking, securing the 56th position.
In his keynote address titled “Accelerating the Development of New-Generation Productive Forces to Empower High-Quality Industry Growth,” Mao Zhibing, Chairman of the Chief Engineers’ Working Committee of the China Civil Engineering Society, analyzed the profound significance of accurately grasping the development of new-generation productive forces in the construction industry, highlighted the “three integrations” and “four modernizations” as the key pathways for cultivating such forces, and outlined the “three strategic directions” for accelerating their development.
Yu Wei, Vice President of the Legal Committee of the China Construction Industry Association and Deputy Director of the Construction Law Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Lawyers Association, delivered a speech titled “An Analysis and Resolution of the Problem of Delinquent Payment for Construction Projects Faced by Construction Enterprises.” In his presentation, he examined the root causes of this issue from the perspectives of construction firms’ performance obligations, the industry’s current landscape, the prevention of criminal risks, and management techniques, and proposed potential solutions.
At the conference, 80 contractors, including China State Construction Engineering Corporation, and 60 engineering design firms, including China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd., were commended. The 2024 “Top 80 Chinese Contractors and Top 60 Engineering Design Firms” ranking is primarily based on each company’s 2023 revenue from engineering contracting and engineering design services. Over the past year, Chinese construction enterprises have demonstrated remarkable resilience and dynamism amid the interplay of multiple factors.
