Awarded at the Provincial Civil Engineering Society’s Annual Academic Exchange Conference for Outstanding Academic Papers and Outstanding Individuals of the Group Company

Recently, the 2025 Academic Exchange Annual Conference of the Construction Engineering Professional Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture was grandly held in Yangzhou. With the theme “Innovation Leads, Intelligent Manufacturing Shapes the Future,” the conference focused on cutting-edge developments and emerging needs in the construction industry, aiming to establish a high-level platform for academic exchange and to promote technological innovation and the commercialization of research outcomes within the sector. Several academic papers submitted by the Group were recognized with awards at the conference, and Cai Leilei was honored as the “2024 Jiangsu Provincial Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture Advanced Individual in Construction Technology (Academic).”

More than 120 experts and scholars, enterprise representatives, and technical professionals from the construction industry across the province gathered to engage in in-depth exchanges on the technological breakthroughs and practical achievements made in construction over the past year. The atmosphere at the event was vibrant, with frequent intellectual cross-fertilization, injecting fresh perspectives and renewed vitality into the industry’s development.

Wang Hua, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He emphasized that, against the backdrop of a sluggish market environment, technical personnel at construction firms must remain focused and systematically distill best practices, building a solid foundation of core competencies in order to drive innovation and adaptability, thereby seizing opportunities for development in an increasingly competitive landscape.

The conference specially invited Professor Li Dezhi, Vice Dean of the School of Civil Engineering at Southeast University and Chairman of the Architectural and Real Estate Economics Professional Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture, to deliver a keynote report titled “Carbon Emissions in Construction Project Execution: Principles, Methods, Techniques, and Tools.”

The presentation and evaluation of academic achievements constitute one of the core components of this annual conference. Following a preliminary selection process, the conference accepted a total of 300 academic papers on construction technology and 30 specialized papers on waterproofing and crack prevention in basements. A panel of eminent industry experts conducted the scoring and evaluation in accordance with the principles of fairness, impartiality, and professionalism, ultimately awarding 31 first-prize papers in the category of construction technology (including one from the Group), 60 second-prize papers (one from the Group), and 89 third-prize papers (three from the Group); as well as 3 first-prize papers in the specialized category on basement waterproofing and crack prevention (one from the Group), 6 second-prize papers, and 9 third-prize papers. The Group distinguished itself in this paper evaluation, maintaining a leading position citywide in terms of the number of awards received, thereby fully demonstrating its solid foundation in both the research and practical application of construction technology.

In addition, the annual conference honored outstanding individuals in the industry. Among them, Cai Leilei, Chief Engineer of the Guangdong Branch, was recognized as the “2024 Jiangsu Provincial Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture Advanced Individual in Construction Technology (Academic)” for his deep expertise and significant contributions in his field, thereby bringing honor to the Group.

The Group’s outstanding performance at this year’s annual conference will further motivate it to deepen its commitment to technological innovation and advance steadily on the path of “Innovation-Driven, Intelligent Manufacturing for the Future.”
