Our company has completed and handed over the Xingyue Garden resettlement housing project, enabling more than 10,000 relocated households in the urban area to move into their new homes. On the morning of November 22, a centralized completion ceremony for Xingyue Garden and other resettlement housing complexes, together with a meeting to advance on-site construction of urban demolition-and-relocation housing, was held in the Municipal Economic and Technological Development Zone. With the simultaneous delivery of eight resettlement communities across the city, over 10,000 families are now happily moving into their new homes. Resettlement housing construction is a key component of the government’s affordable housing program. The eight resettlement projects that were collectively completed and delivered this time have a total floor area of 1.69 million square meters, capable of accommodating nearly 13,000 relocated households, marking new progress in accelerating the implementation of the city’s affordable housing initiative.

With the simultaneous handover of eight resettlement communities in the urban area, more than 10,000 households have happily moved into their new homes.
The construction of resettlement housing is a key component of the affordable housing program. The eight resettlement housing projects that were collectively completed and handed over this time have a total floor area of 1.69 million square meters and will accommodate nearly 13,000 relocated households. This milestone marks new progress in the city’s accelerated efforts to advance the affordable housing initiative, fully demonstrating the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government’s unwavering commitment and determination to address people’s livelihood concerns by all possible means and to expedite the realization of the goal of ensuring that everyone has access to adequate housing.
In recent years, our city has treated the construction of resettlement housing as a key development and livelihood project, achieving a win-win outcome in which residents benefit, development gains new space, and the city takes on a fresh new look. It is estimated that throughout this year, a total of 7.32 million square meters of demolition-and-relocation housing will be newly started in the urban area (including Tongzhou District), with 2.63 million square meters completed and 16,100 households relocated and resettled—each of these indicators reaching record highs and fully meeting the year’s enhanced targets.
At the centralized delivery ceremony, city leaders urged that the construction of resettlement housing be given even greater priority and advanced with high efficiency and high quality. Six additional land parcels in the main urban area are slated for commencement this year, and efforts must be made to ensure that construction on these sites begins within the year; the preparation and implementation of the special plan for resettlement housing should be accelerated; measures to secure the necessary resources and factors for resettlement housing construction should be strengthened; and the quality of such projects must be continuously improved, so that they truly become projects that inspire confidence, deliver superior standards, and meet public satisfaction—ensuring that residents can live in peace of mind and comfort.
The Xingyue Garden resettlement housing project was constructed by Nantong Construction Engineering Group and Nantong Shuntong Group, with a total floor area of 240,000 square meters. The project was completed and handed over in its entirety in just two years, earning high praise from the client for its safety, quality, and adherence to contractual obligations.
