Chairwoman Ge Yuqin of the Nantong Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and Her Delegation Visit the Group Company for Inspection and Guidance On the afternoon of November 7, Ge Yuqin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairwoman of the Nantong Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, accompanied by Qu Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairwoman of the Federation, paid a visit to the Group Company to conduct an inspection and provide guidance. Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group, Li Weidong, Executive Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wang Zheng, Deputy General Manager, and other company leaders extended a warm welcome to Chairwoman Ge Yuqin and her delegation.   On the afternoon of November 7, Ge Yuqin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairperson of the Nantong Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, visited the Group Company for an inspection and guidance tour, accompanied by Qu Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairperson of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, among others. Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group Company, Li Weidong, Executive Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wang Zheng, Deputy General Manager, and other company leaders extended a warm welcome to Chairperson Ge Yuqin and her delegation.

  In the headquarters reception hall, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang, on behalf of the Group’s Party Committee, administration, trade union, and the broad ranks of cadres and employees, extended a warm welcome to Chairwoman Ge Yuqin and her delegation on their visit to the company for inspection and guidance. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude for the All-China Federation of Trade Unions’ longstanding care, support, and assistance to the Group. Subsequently, he provided a detailed overview of the company’s basic situation, its development since the restructuring, the handling of legacy issues, the challenges encountered in reform and development, and the objectives for the next phase of growth. Li Weidong, Executive Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Trade Union, then delivered a comprehensive report on the trade union’s work within the Group over recent years.

  After listening to the report, Qu Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, commended the Group for its outstanding achievements in market development and business management in recent years, as well as for effectively resolving longstanding historical issues and thereby alleviating the burdens on the Party and the government. He expressed the hope that the Group would closely monitor the ideological state of its workforce, strengthen team building, safeguard the gains made through reform and development, and continue to strive for even greater accomplishments.

  Chairwoman Ge Yuqin delivered a concluding important address, in which she noted that the principal leaders of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government have shown great concern for the Group’s reform, development, and stability, as well as for the ideological state of its workforce. She extended warm congratulations and heartfelt respect for the Group’s remarkable achievements in reform and development. Chairwoman Ge then set forth five requirements for the Group’s future development and for strengthening its workforce: First, we must strengthen Party leadership, conduct education on the current situation, reinforce style-of-work building, and fully leverage the political advantages of Party organizations; second, we must intensify ideological and political work among employees, enhance the sense of the bigger picture across the board, and uphold the unified leadership of the Group’s Board of Directors and Party Committee; third, in the face of downward economic pressure, all cadres and employees must cherish even more the overarching goal of reform, development, and stability, embrace the ethos that “the prosperity of the enterprise is my honor and that I share its destiny,” and strengthen their sense of responsibility and awareness of crisis; fourth, we must establish and improve the performance appraisal and evaluation system, govern the enterprise in accordance with the law, and strengthen workforce management; and fifth, we must bolster corporate culture building, guide employees in cultivating healthy and stable values, promote the mainstream theme, and disseminate positive energy.
