Chairman Zhang Xiangyang Attends the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Shuyang Central Mall

On the morning of October 28, under a crisp, clear autumn sky and amid the sweet fragrance of osmanthus, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Central Shopping Mall in Yurun Plaza, Shuyang, was solemnly held. Attending the ceremony were Hu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shuyang County CPC Committee and Secretary; Ma Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shuyang County CPC Committee and Executive Deputy County Mayor; Wu Xiaoguo, Chairman of the China Merchants Group; Wang Lin, Director (President) of the China Merchants Group, along with other relevant leaders. Attending the ceremony were Hu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shuyang County Committee and Secretary; Ma Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shuyang County Committee and Executive Deputy County Mayor; Wu Xiaoguo, Chairman of the China Merchants Group; Wang Lin, Director (President) of the China Merchants Group, along with other relevant leaders. The Shuyang Central Mall project has a total floor area of 189,500 square meters and a total construction cost of RMB 237 million. It comprises a 42-story high-rise residential building (31,500 square meters) and a 5- to 7-story commercial complex (158,000 square meters), serving as the anchor tenant of the Yurun Plaza urban complex. The project is invested in, constructed, and operated by Zhongshang Group, with the main structural work completed at the end of June 2016 and scheduled for official opening during the 2017 Spring Festival.
The groundbreaking ceremony began with a welcoming address by Mr. Ge Huidong, General Manager of Yurun Plaza in Shuyang, followed by remarks from Mr. Wang Lin, Director and President of Zhongshang Group. In his speech, Mr. Wang emphasized that, leveraging Zhongshang Group’s robust overall strength, Shuyang Central Mall will center on department-store retailing and adopt professional, standardized, and information-driven operations and management, thereby becoming the region’s leading enterprise and industry benchmark with the strongest competitive edge in Shuyang and the broader Huaihai area. In his address, Ma Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shuyang County Committee and Executive Deputy County Mayor, expressed the hope that the project owner and the construction contractor would strictly adhere to the engineering design and planning requirements, place great emphasis on perfecting functional配套设施, and, while ensuring construction quality, further accelerate the pace of construction to guarantee that the project is delivered as a high-quality, exemplary, and model undertaking. He also urged the relevant functional departments to continue providing steadfast support and services to create an optimal environment and offer strong guarantees for the early completion and smooth operation of the project.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang delivered an enthusiastic address. He began by outlining the Group’s reform and development achievements, noting that the Shuyang Central Mall project is precisely positioned and benefits from distinct regional advantages. Moreover, the “Dual Five-Star” standard it champions aligns perfectly with Nantong Construction Engineering’s core philosophy. With operations spanning both domestic and international markets, Nantong Construction Engineering boasts extensive experience in the construction management of large-scale commercial complexes; accordingly, following the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement for the Shuyang project, the company is fully equipped and capable of undertaking the construction of the Shuyang Yurun Plaza. Following the speeches and addresses, the leaders in attendance jointly inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony for the Shuyang Central Mall with the symbolic gesture of “The Pomegranate Blossoms.”
