On the 15th, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang held talks in Guigang City with senior representatives of the investor for the Guigang Marriott International Hotel. During the meeting, Chairman Zhang briefed the guests on the reform and development of Nantong Construction Engineering Group, expressed sincere gratitude for the investor’s trust in the company, and expressed the hope that cooperation channels could be further expanded to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes for both parties. Following amicable consultations, the two sides formally signed the general construction contract for the Phase II and Phase III projects of the Marriott International Hotel. The project has a total floor area of approximately 270,000 square meters, including 172,341 square meters above ground, 6,128.5 square meters of underground supermarket space, and 92,939.5 square meters of underground parking. Phase II comprises a three-story commercial building with an associated basement, a 25-story apartment tower above ground, and a four-level underground parking garage; Phase III consists of a 25-story international hotel with a four-level underground parking garage and a three-story commercial section above ground. The overall construction period is 1,095 days, and a grand groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 21. Located within the Macaojiang Ecological Park in the heart of Guigang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Marriott International Hotel is a landmark project for the city. The successful signing and commencement of this project mark a new phase in the operations of Nantong Construction Engineering Group’s Guangxi branch in the region, with the project’s influence extending directly to Guigang and Yulin—the traditional commercial centers of Guangxi—and laying a solid foundation for the branch’s future business development.

On the 19th, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang conducted an inspection of the passenger overnight accommodation project at Nanning Wuxu International Airport in Guangxi, reviewing and providing guidance on project management. The project has a total construction area of 47,566 square meters, features an elliptical, irregular structural form, is subject to a tight schedule and considerable construction challenges, and is located adjacent to the passenger drop-off platform at Nanning Wuxu International Airport. It marks the Group’s first landmark project in Guangxi. Chairman Zhang Xiangyang visited the construction site to gain first-hand insight into the project’s progress. Project Manager Feng Bin provided a detailed briefing on the project’s production, quality control, safety management, and labor resource administration, as well as on the project’s construction plan, actual progress, and the measures implemented to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Chairman Zhang commended the work accomplished in the project’s initial phase, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the hard work of all project team members, and offered solutions and guidance on addressing the difficulties and issues encountered during construction. He emphasized that safety is the top priority in project execution and stressed the need for meticulous organization and coordinated planning while maintaining stringent safety standards, with equal focus on quality and schedule. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of viewing this flagship project from the strategic perspective of the Group’s broader expansion into the Guangxi market, aiming to deliver a high-quality, exemplary project.

On the 20th, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang and his delegation paid courtesy calls on Li Xinyuan, Mayor of Guigang City, and Chen Sheng, Vice Chairman of the Guangxi Strategic Association for Foreign Relations, during which they provided a detailed briefing on the group company’s reform and development, its current strength and competitive advantages, and expressed their hope to further expand into the Guangxi construction market with the support of the local government and industry associations. Prior to this, Chairman Zhang and his delegation also held extensive consultations and exchanges with leaders from PetroChina Southwest Company, the National Research Center for Development under the State Council’s Guoyan Technology Group, and several Guangxi bidding and tendering agencies, reaching preliminary agreements and consensus on potential project collaborations.

During the inspection and research trip, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang also made a special visit to the Group’s Guangxi Branch to convene a symposium on business operations. He gained first-hand insight into the working and living conditions of the branch’s staff and listened to the branch’s report and recommendations on further expanding into the Guangxi market. He emphasized that the Guangxi market, along with the broader Southwest market, constitutes a crucial regional market for the Group’s domestic expansion. Thanks to the concerted efforts of all parties, Nantong Construction Engineering has made significant progress in developing its presence in Guangxi, and it is imperative to consolidate these gains and continue to grow and strengthen the business. He called for fully leveraging the Group’s comparative advantages, fostering multi-level market partnerships, and scaling up the Guangxi market. At the same time, he stressed the importance of robust brand-building: all construction projects must be meticulously planned to high standards, launched from a high starting point, and managed at a high level. By consistently delivering high-quality projects and building strong brands, the Company can showcase and enhance its capabilities and reputation, thereby continuously expanding and increasing its market share in the Guangxi construction sector.
