Group Company Holds New Year Gathering; Zhang Xiangyang Delivers Address, Chen Jianqing Chairs The festive sheep strides forward to bid farewell to the old year, while the Monkey King raises its head to welcome the new. On February 6, as the Spring Festival of the Year of the Monkey draws near, the Group Company convened its 2016 New Year gathering in the Headquarters Auditorium. A total of 180 attendees—including Group executives, heads of Headquarters departments, leaders of all subsidiaries, chief financial officers, representatives of entrusted investors, and all management personnel at Headquarters—came together to review past achievements and warmly welcome the auspicious blessings of the Golden Monkey. The gathering was chaired by Chen Jianqing, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, and featured a New Year address delivered by Chairman Zhang Xiangyang. Zhang Xiangyang began by speaking on behalf of the Group Company’s Board of Directors, Party Committee, and General Manager.

With the Year of the Sheep galloping forward to bid farewell to the old year, the Monkey King raises its head to welcome the New Year. On February 6, as the Spring Festival of the Year of the Monkey draws near, the Group held its 2016 Spring Festival Gathering in the Headquarters Auditorium. A total of 180 attendees—including Group leaders, heads of Headquarters departments, leaders and finance officers of all subsidiaries, representatives of entrusted investors, and all management personnel at Headquarters—gathered to review past achievements and warmly welcome the auspicious blessings of the Golden Monkey. The gathering was chaired by Chen Jianqing, Deputy General Manager of the Group, and featured a New Year address delivered by Chairman Zhang Xiangyang.
First, Zhang Xiangyang, on behalf of the Group’s Board of Directors, Party Committee, and General Manager’s Office, extended New Year greetings and best wishes to all employees and their families, to model workers and retired staff, and to those who remained at their posts and worked tirelessly on overseas construction sites during the holiday period.
In his address, Zhang Xiangyang pointed out that 2015 was an extraordinary year—a year in which the Group faced severe tests. Throughout the year, we rose to the challenges and pressures posed by the difficult macroeconomic environment, steadfastly upholding scientific development as our guiding principle and accelerating transformation and upgrading as our central task, while maintaining a general tone of seeking progress while ensuring stability. With unity and determination across the entire organization, we pressed forward with perseverance, tackled tough problems, and carried out our work in a solid and pragmatic manner. As a result, we essentially achieved all the economic and technical targets and work assignments for 2015, sustaining the enterprise’s steady and healthy development. The successful completion of the key economic indicators and work tasks for 2015 also signifies the comprehensive fulfillment of the Group’s “12th Five-Year Plan” objectives. Zhang Xiangyang then provided a comprehensive review of the year’s achievements from six perspectives. Against the backdrop of a slowing macroeconomy and a challenging construction market, these accomplishments were hard-won—thanks to the strong leadership of the Party committees, governments, and competent authorities at higher levels; thanks to the sound decision-making of the Group’s leadership teams at both levels; thanks to the tireless efforts of all employees; and also thanks to the understanding and support of retired employees and their families. On behalf of the Group, Zhang Xiangyang expressed his heartfelt gratitude and profound respect to everyone.
Zhang Xiangyang pointed out that 2016 marks the inaugural year of the 13th Five-Year Plan, a period in which both the domestic and international environments will be increasingly complex and volatile, and the economic downturn has yet to bottom out. We must remain acutely aware at all times that 2016 will bring greater challenges, heavier tasks, and greater responsibilities. To meet these challenges head-on, we must summon even stronger confidence, higher morale, and unwavering determination, strive with all our might, and continue to uphold the company’s mission of ensuring its enduring success over the next century, thereby securing a strong start and solid footing for the enterprise during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. Zhang Xiangyang then laid out a comprehensive plan for the 2016 work agenda across eight key areas.
During the presiding over the group’s New Year gathering, Chen Jianqing pointed out that Chairman Zhang Xiangyang’s address thoroughly summarized the Group’s work in 2015 and comprehensively outlined the overall guiding principles and work plan for the Group’s reform and development in 2016, thereby providing highly significant guidance for us in effectively carrying out our work in 2016. We must earnestly study, deeply understand, and fully implement the spirit of Chairman Zhang’s address, aligning our thinking and actions with its guiding principles, integrating these principles into all aspects of our work for 2016, and actively engaging in the great endeavor of “adapting to the new normal, building new competitive advantages, reaching a new level, and achieving new accomplishments,” so as to strive diligently toward the realization of the Group’s objectives and tasks for 2016.
