Subsequently, Wang Kuiqing, the branch secretary, outlined the significance and objectives of conducting a thematic discussion. He emphasized that such discussions are an important measure for deepening the “Two Studies, One Action” study-and-education campaign; they help Party members and cadres earnestly study the Party Constitution, Party rules, and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches, thoroughly grasp their core essence and spiritual substance, and enhance their conscious commitment to becoming qualified Party members. Upholding firm faith and convictions and maintaining the essential character of a Party member require that all Party members diligently study the Party Constitution and Party rules, gain a comprehensive understanding of the Party’s program, firmly remember the Party membership oath, keep in mind the Party’s fundamental purpose, and bear in mind both the duties and rights of Party members—thereby strengthening their ideals and convictions and perpetuating the true nature of Communist Party members.
During the meeting, several Party members engaged in discussions and delivered remarks on how to uphold the essential qualities of a Communist Party member.
Li Guang, a member of the Party branch committee and general manager of the Wuxi Branch, emphasized, in light of the branch’s current situation, that the “Two Studies, One Action” education campaign must begin with each individual, and he set forth specific requirements for all Party members.
Li Weidong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group Company, and Shan Rong, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, attended the meeting to provide guidance. In his address, Li Weidong emphasized that the “Two Studies, One Action” education campaign should be tailored to the specific conditions of the Group Company and its Wuxi branch, closely aligned with all aspects of work, integrate study with practice, overcome current challenges, and promote the in-depth implementation of all tasks, thereby laying a solid foundation for achieving the Group’s 13th Five-Year Plan objectives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all Party members reaffirmed their Party membership oath by taking the oath under the Party flag. (Chen Rong)
