To ensure effective summer labor protection and heat-prevention measures, safeguard safe production and a secure summer for the project, and protect the safety and health of employees in their work and daily life during the summer, the Group’s trade union made early arrangements, meticulously planned and organized a summer “Three Deliveries” campaign themed “A Cool Summer, Happiness and Well-being,” and rigorously implemented all related initiatives. As a result, the vast majority of employees genuinely felt the organization’s care and concern, yielding excellent outcomes.
At the quarterly regular meeting of union chairpersons held on July 1, Li Weidong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, urged all branch company unions to make advance preparations for the summer “Three Deliveries” campaign and, in conjunction with the “Ankang Cup” competition, to strengthen oversight and inspection of occupational safety and health at project sites. Ge Xuxin, Chairman of the Group Company’s Trade Union, outlined key priorities, stressing that branch company unions should proactively plan and organize summer care activities, go deep into grassroots units and front-line operations, and extend condolences and support to employees working under extreme heat conditions—whether on high-temperature construction sites, in high-temperature environments, or in high-temperature positions. He also emphasized the need to conduct targeted inspections of workplaces with significant hazards, such as high-temperature operations, outdoor construction, work at heights, and confined-space operations, promptly identify potential accident risks and occupational hazards, and implement effective measures to ensure the safety and health of workers. Furthermore, all project departments were instructed to carry out comprehensive preventive measures against heatstroke, typhoons, flooding, lightning strikes, electric shocks, and fires; to develop contingency plans; and to strengthen education and awareness-raising efforts.
Meanwhile, the Group’s trade union raised more than RMB 100,000 to purchase summer necessities such as beverages, towels, soap, floral water, and cooling balm, and organized a series of care visits that reached over 4,000 individuals. Executive Deputy General Manager Li Weidong and Trade Union Chairman Ge Xuxin personally visited numerous construction sites, including the Nantong University Town Project, the Nantong Shenghe Huabanli Project, the Nantong Xinghu City Plaza Project, the Nantong Jinhaiyuan Project, the Wuxi Xinrui Hospital Project, and the Nanjing Youth Olympic Center Interior Decoration Project, to extend their greetings and support to project team members and work crews who are working tirelessly in the sweltering heat, bringing with them the Group’s and the trade union’s heartfelt care and relief from the summer heat.
Trade unions at all branch companies have formulated summer “Cooling Delivery” programs, procuring summer supplies, emergency medications, and personal protective equipment, and organizing visits to offer condolences and support. Meanwhile, project offices have optimized work schedules for construction personnel—some projects have even suspended operations altogether—to prevent heat-related injuries. In addition, tea stations have been set up on construction sites, heat-prevention information leaflets have been posted in living quarters, and extra meals featuring mung bean soup and coix seed porridge have been provided in canteens, thereby improving working, dining, and living conditions for construction workers and ensuring that frontline staff can safely and comfortably endure the peak of summer.
