Beijing Branch Holds Registration Conference for Construction Engineers

On November 9, 14, and 15, the Beijing branch organized specialized meetings on registered construction engineers in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shijiazhuang, respectively. Each meeting was chaired by the head of the respective site, during which the current utilization of construction engineers and project status were reviewed, and participants were briefed on the use of the company’s OA system and relevant documents. The application of BIM knowledge was also promoted and explained. On November 9, 14, and 15, the Beijing branch held specialized meetings on registered construction engineers in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shijiazhuang, respectively.
The meeting was chaired by the heads of each site. During the meeting, attendees were briefed on the current utilization of construction engineers and the status of ongoing projects, and training was provided on the use of the company’s OA system and relevant internal documents. In addition, there was an informative session on the application of BIM knowledge.
Zhang Zhongda, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company and General Manager of the Beijing Branch, attended meetings at all project sites and set forth specific requirements for all construction engineers. He emphasized that, with the establishment of the “Four Databases and One Platform” regulatory information network for the construction industry, all construction engineers must strictly prevent the occurrence of multiple certificates registered under multiple organizations; they are required to participate in continuing education programs in a timely manner and to closely monitor the examination and annual renewal of Safety Certificate B. In addition, Mr. Zhang outlined several key requirements for the management of construction engineers within the branch: proactively carry out the evaluation and certification process for professional titles; strategically highlight and promote a select group of star construction engineers; rigorously manage construction engineer certificates and official seals; promptly report on the usage of certificates; and expedite the collection of comprehensive information on all construction engineers.
Zhang Zhongda concluded by emphasizing that, compared with other industries, the construction sector has lagged behind in the application of Internet technologies. However, the advent of the Internet era in construction is inevitable, and construction professionals must embrace this new era with enthusiasm and proactively update their knowledge and skill sets to avoid being left behind. To this end, he called for strengthened training and education on emerging technologies for construction professionals and other technical roles, accelerated development of enterprise management information systems, and exploration of the integrated application of big data technologies—all of which will underpin the building of smart enterprises.
