On November 17, the Wuxi Branch held a meeting of Party members to study the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and to carry out the third phase of the “Two Studies, One Action” study and education campaign.
During the meeting, all Party members were organized to watch the first episode of the video “Always on the Road” and the video of the Communiqué of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, and to study the “One Regulation and One Rule” as well as a series of important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping on exercising full and rigorous self-governance of the Party.
At the Party members’ meeting, Wang Kuiqing, the branch secretary, put forward requirements for conducting a special discussion on “daring to take responsibility and act, and giving full play to the role of Party members.” He urged all Party members to uphold firm ideals and convictions as well as a strong sense of purpose in their studies and work; to courageously confront difficulties and problems; to conscientiously perform their duties; to strive for progress with determination; to explore boldly; and to pioneer and innovate. He emphasized the need to deepen ideological understanding, enhance conscious action, dare to assume responsibility, take proactive steps, and strive to be qualified Party members. Subsequently, all Party members, in light of the criteria for Party membership, engaged in discussions and shared their views on how to dare to take responsibility and act and how to become qualified Party members.
In accordance with the deployment requirements of the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department for conducting thematic discussions on the “Two Studies, One Action” study and education campaign, the Party branch of the Wuxi Branch has, since June of this year, carried out three phases of such discussions and convened three Party member meetings. During these sessions, the branch has thoroughly studied the documents issued by the CPC Central Committee and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches, and engaged in in-depth discussions on these topics. For each phase of the study and discussion, a detailed implementation plan has been formulated. To ensure the effective conduct of the study and education, the Party branch of the Wuxi Branch purchased a complete set of books and video materials in early June this year and established a WeChat group named “Party Branch of the Wuxi Branch.” Relevant study materials, plans, and requirements are promptly posted in this WeChat group, enabling Party members to stay abreast of the key focuses and specific requirements of the current phase of the thematic discussions.
During the third-phase thematic discussion, the Party branch also conducted the 2016 democratic evaluation of Party members.
