Thoroughly Summarize the Past and Carefully Plan for the Future—Leadership Team of the Beijing Branch Undergoes Assessment by the Group Company

On January 8, the Beijing Branch held a meeting for mid-level and higher-level managers to hear performance reports from the branch and its nine leadership team members, while also undergoing assessment by the Group’s evaluation panel.

The meeting commenced with Zhang Zhongda, Deputy General Manager of the Group and General Manager of the Beijing Branch, presenting an overview of the Beijing Branch’s leadership team development and year-end performance for 2016. He also outlined the challenges and issues in management, proposed directions for improvement, and provided a detailed explanation of the work objectives and tasks for 2017. Subsequently, the eight deputy general managers of the Beijing Branch each delivered individual performance reports.

Following the performance report presentations, Li Weidong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, delivered a concluding address on behalf of the assessment panel. He shared four key observations and recommendations: First, the presentations demonstrated that the Beijing Branch places great emphasis on the year-end performance appraisal process. Each presenter had prepared meticulously, offering comprehensive summaries of past achievements supported by detailed examples, candidly identifying existing problems and boldly analyzing their root causes, while also articulating clear next-step strategies with well-defined objectives and concrete measures. Moreover, all presentations were delivered in the form of PowerPoint slides, which not only combined text and visuals for easy comprehension but also underscored the Branch’s commitment to this work and its adoption of standardized, modernized working methods. Second, despite the global economic downturn and challenging operating conditions, the Beijing Branch has risen to the occasion and achieved strong business results, a feat that is inseparable from the tireless efforts and collective dedication of all employees and thus deserves full recognition. Third, the Beijing Branch has carried out safety and quality management in a solid and systematic manner, leading the entire company in advancing standardization and strategic planning; the stable safety production record is precisely attributable to the effective implementation of these initiatives. Fourth, the Beijing Branch prioritizes talent development and has taken proactive steps to organize training and learning programs for both the leadership team and the workforce, which is highly encouraging and should be sustained going forward.

Secretary Li, on behalf of the Group Company, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all employees of the Beijing Branch for their hard work and contributions in 2016, and articulated new expectations for the Branch’s performance in 2017.
