Tanglin Imperial Residence Project Awarded the Title of “Model Construction Site for Fire Safety”

On September 15, the Beijing Branch of Nantong Construction Engineering Group, in collaboration with the Yongqing County Public Security Fire Brigade of Hebei Province, hosted the “Yongqing County 2017 Demonstration Conference on Promoting Fire Safety at Construction Sites” for the Tanglin Yufu Project in Yongqing County. During the event, the project team showcased its standardized and normalized fire safety management practices and facilities to all attendees. During the meeting, attendees heard a briefing from the project team and conducted a site visit. Staff Officer Xu Bin of the Yongqing County Public Security Fire Brigade provided a detailed presentation on the outstanding practices employed at the Tanglin Yufu project in fire safety management, emphasizing that all construction projects throughout the county should earnestly study and adopt the advanced experience gained from this project.
Based on the specific conditions at the construction site, the Tanglin Yufu Project Department has developed a comprehensive fire safety plan. The project’s fire protection facilities comply with GB 50720–2011 “Technical Code for Fire Safety at Construction Sites of Building Projects,” with certain design elements exceeding the code requirements. Signage and marking are appropriately installed, and a dedicated fire safety display cabinet and equipment-experience area have been set up in the safety experience zone. On each construction floor, fire hydrant outlets are strategically placed at regular intervals, accompanied by highly visible signage and established management procedures; usage instructions are posted on the fire hydrant cabinets to educate workers on how to respond in the event of a fire and ensure they are proficient in the correct operation of fire extinguishers. In the living quarters’ staff dormitories, ashtrays and low-voltage USB mobile-phone charging outlets have been provided, all lighting is powered by a 36-volt low-voltage system, and separate circuits are dedicated to cooling and heating systems. The project’s complete fire safety infrastructure and robust fire safety management measures fully demonstrate a mature and well-established approach to daily fire safety management.
During the meeting, the Yongqing County Public Security Fire Brigade presented the Tanglin Yufu project with a banner designating it as a “Model Construction Site for Fire Safety.”
