Comrade Jiao Lei, a documentation clerk with the Shijiazhuang Nanjiao Project Office of the Beijing Branch, has unfortunately been diagnosed with gastric cancer and is currently hospitalized at Hebei Provincial People’s Hospital for chemotherapy. Upon learning of this situation, the Beijing Branch attached great importance to it and, on November 15, launched a company-wide donation drive, which raised a total of RMB 53,900. On the morning of November 22, accompanied by Xu Yongjun, Manager of the Engineering Department, and Wu Jiangao, Project Manager of the Nanjiao Project, Liu Jian, Deputy General Manager of the Beijing Branch, on behalf of the Beijing Branch Management Team and the Trade Union, paid a heartfelt visit to Jiao Lei, who is receiving treatment at the hospital. During the visit, he conveyed the company leadership’s care and best wishes, handed over the funds that had been collected, and encouraged her to maintain a positive and optimistic attitude.

Jiao Lei and her family expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the support and care she has received from company leaders and colleagues, and pledged to cooperate fully with her treatment so that she can return to work as soon as possible.

This summer vacation, Jiang Nannan, a 16-year-old girl from Xinba Village in Pingchao Town, Tongzhou District, joyfully received her admission letter from Nantong Health Higher Vocational Technical School. Yet she soon found herself facing a difficult dilemma: having lost both parents at an early age, she had been living with her elderly grandfather, who recently passed away, leaving her suddenly without a stable source of support. Although she had now been accepted by the school, how could she possibly afford the tuition fees? Just as Jiang was at her wits’ end, the Beijing Branch Union learned of her situation and promptly organized a fundraising drive among the branch’s employees. In just a few days, they raised a total of 8,820 yuan, which was personally handed over to Jiang Nannan by Xia Dejun, the union chairman. In addition, several other colleagues, after receiving a forwarded message from the company union on WeChat, directly donated funds to Jiang Nannan. The employees hope that their compassion will enable the young girl to enroll smoothly, grow into a capable individual, and eventually become a person who contributes positively to society.
