Beijing Branch Holds 2018 Annual Business and Production Work Conference

On April 23 and 24, 2018, the Beijing Branch held its 2018 Annual Operations and Production Work Conference. More than 100 attendees, including mid-level and senior managers of the Beijing Branch and heads of various projects, took part in the meeting, which was chaired by Xia Dejun, Deputy General Manager of the Beijing Branch.

The conference organizers arranged for participating comrades to take part in a red-themed tour of the Xiong’an New Area, retracing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s inspection route and visiting the exhibition on the New Area’s development plan. The company also invited renowned experts from Nantong City to deliver a lecture on work safety management, and engaged Yin Yougen, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, to provide an in-depth analysis and explanation of the tower-crane collapse accident.

During the meeting, Ge Yizhong, Chief Engineer of the Beijing Branch, presented and explained the “Visual Identity Standards Manual for Construction Sites of Nantong Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd.” developed by the branch, and invited Sheng Shenjie, Commercial Manager of the Gu’an Industrial Park Project, to provide an overview of how to use the DingTalk software.

Liu Jian, Deputy General Manager of the Beijing Branch, delivered the 2018 Business Performance Report at the meeting. The report’s theme was: “Maintain steadfastness and focus on core customer value; operate prudently while proactively exploring new opportunities for steady development.” The report provided a detailed review of the Beijing Branch’s four breakthrough highlights and six major achievements in 2017, analyzed the current market development landscape, identified the challenges facing the branch’s operations, set the 2018 business objectives, and outlined the strategic priorities for the year.

Sun Hongyu, Deputy General Manager of the Beijing Branch, delivered a summary report on the branch’s work in safety production management for 2017 and led everyone in studying the relevant contents of the “Compilation of Documents.” He then guided the heads of each project in signing the “Safety Production Responsibility Agreements.”

Zhang Zhongda, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company and General Manager of the Beijing Branch, delivered a concluding address at the meeting. He emphasized that all project departments must organize study sessions on the documents contained in the “Document Compilation” and actively implement the spirit of these documents. Subsequently, he instructed each project department to leverage mobile management applications such as DingTalk—given the varying degrees of managerial looseness or tightness across projects—to enhance management efficiency and quality. At the same time, he called for strengthened financial accounting and control at the project level, stricter oversight of material inbound and outbound procedures, more rigorous verification and authenticity of supporting documentation, improved management and utilization of financial accounting systems, and proactive recruitment and training of finance personnel. Finally, he stated that following the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Two Sessions, the country has entered a new era and embarked on a new journey; domestic liquidity is tightening, and the economic outlook remains uncertain. In the face of uncertainties arising from real estate market adjustments and a major reshuffling of construction firms, it is imperative that we strengthen low-cost management, operate with prudence while remaining proactive in market development, deepen our presence in core markets and focus on our core business, continuously hone our internal capabilities, and strive to enhance our market competitiveness. It is our hope that, through a three-year enhancement initiative, we can comprehensively elevate the company’s and project departments’ market image and strengthen their capabilities in areas such as business development and project management.
