Group Company Holds a Meeting to Promote the Application of BIM Technology

On the afternoon of April 18, the Group held a BIM Technology Application Promotion Meeting in the Headquarters Conference Hall. Leaders from the Group’s headquarters, leaders from several subsidiaries and branch companies, BIM technology directors, and heads of headquarters departments attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Chief Engineer Liu Xu, and Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group, attended and delivered an important speech.

At the meeting, Chief Engineer Liu Xu began by providing a comprehensive interpretation of the “Implementation Plan for Promoting the Application of Building Information Modeling Technology in Nantong City.” The plan comprehensively expounds, from four perspectives—its significant importance, guiding principles, key tasks, and supporting measures—the integrated application of BIM technology across the entire lifecycle of construction projects, encompassing planning, surveying, design, construction, and operation and maintenance. This initiative will help accelerate the sharing of data and the implementation of information-based management throughout the full lifecycle of construction projects, effectively enhance building quality, and promote the healthy development of the construction industry.

Subsequently, the technical heads from the Group’s BIM Technology Center, the Installation Branch, and the Beijing Branch delivered detailed reports on the application of BIM technology in key projects and the achievements attained over the past two years. Following the presentations, attendees engaged in a lively discussion on how to further comprehensively promote the adoption of BIM technology across projects, offering numerous constructive comments and recommendations on this topic.

Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group Company, delivered a concluding address at the meeting, stating that the event had been a resounding success and would significantly advance the company’s adoption of BIM technology across the board. He emphasized that the widespread implementation of BIM is both a mandate from government authorities and a pressing need in today’s construction market, as it markedly enhances project management capabilities and serves as a critical component of the Group’s transformation and upgrading efforts to bolster its core competitiveness. In light of this, he put forward four key recommendations for further strengthening BIM implementation: first, to reinforce organizational leadership and devote full resources to promoting BIM adoption; second, to adopt a coordinated, phased approach that progressively expands BIM application; third, to intensify training initiatives and build a robust pool of BIM professionals; and fourth, to select appropriate projects and systematically scale up BIM deployment from pilot sites to broader application.
