On May 4, we marked the 99th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League. To celebrate this occasion, Branch Three and Branch One each organized Youth League Day activities for their young employees, providing a platform for them to express their youthful aspirations and to rally the spiritual strength needed to usher in a new chapter in the construction industry. The Trade Union and the Youth League branch of Branch Three held a Youth League Day event at the Kaisha Island RV Camping Base, themed “Carrying Forward the Spirit of May Fourth to Usher in a New Era for the Construction Industry.” To begin, a total of 28 young League members from the branch’s headquarters and various project departments, led by Wu Dongliang, Secretary of the Youth League branch, raised their right hands and solemnly took the oath: “I voluntarily join the Communist Youth League of China and firmly uphold the Communist Party of China…”

To celebrate this occasion, the Third Branch Company and the First Branch Company each organized Youth League Day activities for their young employees, providing a platform for them to express their youthful aspirations and rally the spirit needed to usher in a new chapter in construction engineering.
The trade union and the Communist Youth League branch of the Third Branch Company organized a Youth Day event at the Kaisha Island RV Camping Base, themed “Carry Forward the May Fourth Spirit and Usher in a New Era for Construction.” To begin, 28 young League members from the branch’s headquarters and various project departments, led by Wu Dongliang, Secretary of the League branch, raised their right hands and solemnly took the oath: “I voluntarily join the Communist Youth League of China, firmly uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, abide by the League’s constitution, implement the League’s resolutions, fulfill my duties as a League member, strictly observe the League’s discipline, study diligently, work enthusiastically, take the lead in hardship and share the rewards later, and strive for the cause of communism!” Each resounding pledge pierced the tranquil morning air and echoed long after across the beautiful skies above Kaisha Island.
Subsequently, the team-building activities officially commenced, stimulating young employees’ imagination, creativity, and teamwork skills from multiple angles. During the ice-breaking phase—where teams were named, captains selected, and team emblems designed—each participant’s unique talents and strengths were fully brought to bear through collaborative brainstorming, quickly fostering familiarity, rapport, and seamless synergy among young staff from different project departments. The “Thorns to Water,” “Breath of Strength,” and “Team Magic Pen” challenges provided excellent showcases of innovative thinking and creative problem-solving, demonstrating effective internal leadership, task division, coordination, and execution, as well as the successful application of PDCA management principles. The “Five-Minute Challenge” helped participants enhance their ability to analyze and redesign processes, uncovering opportunities for sustainable development. Meanwhile, the “Rope Circle Dynamics” exercise enabled team members to confront their goals, overcome fear, achieve flawless jumps, and push beyond their personal limits.

The First Branch and the young employees of China Housing Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. held a friendly soccer match at the Central South Sports and Exhibition Center, themed “Carrying Forward the Spirit of May Fourth and Uplifting the Vigor of Youth.”
As the match referee’s whistle blew, the green pitch instantly erupted into a fierce battle, with players from both teams locked in an intense back-and-forth of attack and defense—passing, dribbling, offside calls, and relentless defending—creating a tense and electrifying atmosphere. The players’ superb skills and indomitable spirit earned wave after wave of enthusiastic applause and cheers from the substitutes and the cheerleading squad, as youthful energy surged across the field. After more than an hour of hard-fought competition, Nantong Construction Engineering First Branch ultimately emerged victorious. Through this friendly match, the athletes demonstrated courage, determination, and a relentless drive to push their limits, showcasing friendship, style, and true competitive excellence.

The activities organized by the two branch offices not only enlivened the cultural life of young employees, enabling them to stay physically fit and mentally relaxed amid their busy work schedules, thereby strengthening team cohesion and unity, but also fully fostered a sense of patriotism among young staff, enhanced mutual communication and understanding, honed their resilience and determination to persevere through hardship, and cultivated a spirit of teamwork.
Following the event, participants unanimously expressed their commitment to applying the spirit of unity and collaboration, mutual trust and understanding, self-challenge, and perseverance in overcoming difficulties—qualities exemplified during the activity—to their daily work.
