A New Beginning, a New Future—The Group Conducts On-the-Job Training for Newly Hired Employees in 2018

To help new employees quickly familiarize themselves with and adapt to the company culture and to strengthen communication between new hires and the organization, the Group held the 2018 Onboarding Training Program for Newly Hired Employees at its headquarters from July 30 to August 3. A total of 52 new employees from various regions, universities, and academic disciplines participated in the program. On the afternoon of July 30, the opening ceremony was chaired by Shi Hui, Manager of the Group’s Human Resources Department, and Li Weidong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a motivational address. In his speech, he read out a welcome message for the new employees and provided an overview of the Group’s history, current development status, notable achievements, as well as its policies and practices for attracting, selecting, developing, and managing talent.

He also announced the Group’s work objectives and deployment for 2018 and articulated his expectations and requirements for the new employees.

This training program was meticulously organized by the Human Resources Department, featuring a diverse range of categories and rich, comprehensive content. Over the four-day session, new employees gained a thorough understanding of the company’s overall development and corporate culture, while also acquiring knowledge in areas such as work safety management, the “three-in-one” management system, construction and production technology management, financial management—including the transition from business tax to value-added tax—business operations management, and market development. In addition, they received detailed instruction on the company’s human resources management practices and the use of OA business processes, which are integral to daily work and internal communication. The participating new employees reported that they benefited greatly from the training, which significantly facilitated their rapid integration into the company culture and enhanced their understanding of both their own roles and the company’s broader strategic direction.
On the morning of August 3, the company organized a meeting for new employees to meet and exchange views with the leadership of the Group. During the meeting, several outstanding senior employees from the Group shared their work experiences with the newcomers, drawing on their respective roles and responsibilities. They provided insightful summaries of their experiences and insights since joining the company and offered pertinent suggestions and recommendations, which will serve as valuable guidance for the new employees in confidently tackling their future work. In turn, the newly hired employees introduced themselves, discussed the benefits they had gained from the onboarding training, and outlined their career plans moving forward, all pledging to contribute their efforts to the continued growth and development of Nantong Construction Engineering.

After listening to the new employees’ remarks, the attending leaders of the Group put forward several expectations: first, they should promptly adapt to their new roles and quickly immerse themselves in their work; second, they must remain loyal to the company and perform their duties diligently and conscientiously; third, they should develop a clear career plan, steadily acquire diverse knowledge and skills, and strive to become well-rounded professionals at an early stage.

Finally, Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group, delivered an important address. He began by extending a warm welcome on behalf of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and the General Manager’s Office to the newly hired employees. He emphasized that the four-day training program had provided them with a solid understanding of the Group’s history, business scope, management system, internal rules and regulations, and corporate culture. Their addition has injected fresh vitality into the company’s development, strengthened its organizational structure, and revitalized the entire enterprise.
Chairman Zhang expressed his earnest expectations for the new employees’ future work: First, strive to learn and emphasize practical application. New employees should quickly familiarize themselves with the requirements of their positions, diligently acquire the knowledge and professional skills needed for their roles, and apply these skills in real-world settings, thereby continuously enhancing their capabilities and realizing their personal value through hands-on experience. Second, remain down-to-earth and be willing to endure hardship and work tirelessly. On the premise of being prepared for long-term hard work, new employees should align their aspirations and ambitions with their current realities and job responsibilities; they should proceed steadily, build a solid foundation, and persevere over the long term, avoiding impatience, restlessness, and unrealistic ambition. Third, cultivate both moral integrity and competence, giving priority to moral character. New employees should strengthen their study of political theory, foster a correct worldview, outlook on life, and values; they should refine their personal ethics, putting character-building before accomplishing tasks; and they should cultivate gratitude and a spirit of selfless dedication.
