To show care for the health of employees and serve the broader workforce, the Group Trade Union recently arranged for TCM health management specialists from Longhua Hospital, affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to visit enterprises and construction sites, disseminating knowledge on daily health maintenance and promoting the principles of TCM-based wellness. The specialists provided free health consultations and basic medical screenings to employees and migrant workers on construction sites, a service that was warmly welcomed by all. This free clinic campaign ran for two weeks starting on July 10, with activities including education on TCM wellness practices, blood pressure measurement, pulse diagnosis, cupping therapy, and acupoint acupuncture and moxibustion treatments. More than 200 people from several subsidiaries in the Nantong region, as well as from the headquarters’ Economic Industrial Park project department of the First Branch Company, took part in the event. At the site, the volunteer physicians carefully conducted pulse checks, measured blood pressure, and recorded the results for each participant. They patiently inquired about individual health conditions, shared the findings, and offered tailored health advice based on TCM principles of therapeutic care and preventive wellness. Some participants also received complementary therapies such as cupping and electronic acupuncture. The initiative was widely praised by employees: “This kind of event is really great—convenient and efficient!” “It’s rare to have access to TCM diagnosis and treatment; it not only helps alleviate sub-health conditions but also enables early prevention.” “Taking some time after work for TCM therapy has relaxed my cervical and lumbar spine—it’s truly beneficial!” Participants emphasized that the event played a positive role in helping them better understand their own health status and identify potential health risks. They pledged to prioritize their health going forward, abandon unhealthy habits, maintain regular exercise, strengthen their bodies, work diligently, and, in turn, repay the company’s care and support.
