The whole nation fights the epidemic; construction workers donate with compassion. March 11 On [date], the charity donation ceremony for combating the epidemic by Nantong Construction Engineering Group was held at the Nantong City Library, Room 23. A grand donation ceremony was held in the conference room of the Nantong Municipal Charity Federation. Wang Dezong, President of the Nantong Municipal Charity Federation, Chen Dongmei, Director of the Municipal Health Commission, and other leaders from relevant departments attended the event. Zhang Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, and General Manager of the Group, also attended the ceremony, signed the donation agreement, and handed over RMB 1.12 million—donated by the company and its employees and cadres—as targeted condolence funds for the Nantong medical team that had assisted Hubei Province. At the donation ceremony, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang delivered an enthusiastic speech, in which he pointed out that since the outbreak of the epidemic, our company has, in accordance with the decisions and arrangements of Party committees and governments at all levels, promptly established a leading group for epidemic prevention and control, implemented a series of measures to contain the spread of the virus and safeguard the safety and health of our employees, and thereby ensured the overall stability and orderly operation of the enterprise. At present, our company is making all-out efforts to simultaneously strengthen epidemic prevention and control and resume production and business operations, ensuring that both priorities are pursued without compromise. The COVID-19 pandemic has also been a constant concern for every employee of Nantong Construction Group; to support the epidemic response, in the previous phase, the majority of our Party members actively responded to the call of the CPC Central Committee and voluntarily donated RMB 390,454 to the “Two New” Committee of the Chongchuan District Party Committee, demonstrating their loyalty to the Party and the people through concrete actions.
