Vice General Manager Yin Yougen Attends the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Center Project at the Jiangsu Yangtze River Region Agricultural Sciences Research Institute

On the morning of April 15, under the gentle spring breeze, the Jiangsu Yangtze River Region Agricultural Sciences Research Institute held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Modern Agriculture Science and Technology Innovation Center project. Attending the event were Yi Zhongyi, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Director of the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Zhao Wenbin, Vice Mayor of the Nantong Municipal People’s Government; and leaders from relevant departments of the Nantong Municipal Government and the Gangzha District Government. Yin Yougen, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, was invited to attend the ceremony and delivered a speech on behalf of the project’s general construction contractor. The groundbreaking ceremony was presided over by Zhao Yongqian, Director of the Jiangsu Yangtze River Region Agricultural Sciences Research Institute.

The Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Center project of the Jiangsu Coastal Region Institute of Agricultural Sciences is being undertaken by the First Branch of the Group Company, which won the bid. The project is located south of Xingfu Road and west of Fuyuan Road in Gangzha District, with a site area of approximately 11,995 square meters and a total floor area of 17,536 square meters, including 4,086 square meters of underground space.

He noted that Nantong Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest large-scale construction enterprises established nationwide. Over the years, the company has achieved coordinated development of both material and spiritual civilization, earning numerous prestigious honors, including inclusion in the Top 500 Private Enterprises in China, the ENR Top 250 Global Contractors, and the Top 80 Chinese Contractors, as well as titles such as National Advanced Enterprise in the Construction Industry, National Outstanding Construction Enterprise, National Integrity Enterprise in the Construction Industry, National Model Enterprise for Harmonious Labor Relations, and National Model Enterprise for Honoring Contracts and Maintaining Credit. The company has also received 19 national-level awards for high-quality projects, including the Luban Award and the National Quality Award. As the project’s general construction contractor, our company will leverage its strengths to rigorously control project quality, construction safety, and schedule adherence, while strictly complying with national laws and regulations and construction codes. We will commence work at a high starting point, execute construction to a high standard, and manage the project with stringent requirements, ensuring both quality and safety while meeting the project timeline. Our goal is to deliver a project that meets all stakeholders’ expectations—a high-quality, exemplary, and reliable undertaking—thereby making new and greater contributions to accelerating the development of a strong, prosperous, beautiful, and innovative Nantong.
Speech by Vice Mayor Zhao Wenbin
In his address, Vice Mayor Zhao Wenbin pointed out that, for many years, the Yanjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences has served as the largest and most comprehensive specialized agricultural research institution in our city, playing a pivotal role in advancing the modernization of agriculture and rural areas. Numerous technologies developed by the institute have been recognized with national, provincial, and municipal awards for scientific and technological progress, thereby establishing it as a highly influential entity among agricultural science and technology institutions across the province. He expressed the hope that the Yanjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences will focus on both sound project planning and effective implementation, strengthening overall coordination and strategic planning, fostering close collaboration among all stakeholders, ensuring meticulous organization, scientific management, civilized construction practices, and robust workplace safety, so as to deliver a high-quality, exemplary, and integrity-driven project. Finally, he urged the institute to proactively seek policy support, closely align its research activities with the distinctive features of our city’s agricultural and rural development, conduct in-depth research to effectively address technological bottlenecks hindering the growth of the agricultural sector, enhance the dissemination and application of innovative scientific and technological achievements, and thereby contribute to the thriving development of local industries. He also called on relevant departments at both the municipal and district levels to strengthen their service orientation, streamline service procedures, and work together to advance the project.

At the conclusion of the event, Yi Zhongyi, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and President of the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, officially announced the commencement of construction on the Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Center project at the Jiangsu Yangtze River Region Agricultural Research Institute. Amidst the booming sound of ceremonial cannon fire, Yin Yougen, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, together with President Yi Zhongyi, Vice Mayor Zhao Wenbin, and other leaders, jointly laid the foundation stone and piled up earth for the project.
