Beijing Branch Holds Mobilization Meeting for “Safety Production Month” and Business Operations Conference

From May 23 to 30, the Beijing Branch held regional mobilization meetings for “Safety Production Month” and business operation conferences, with over 300 attendees including project leaders from each region, on-site project managers, and mid-level and senior management personnel from the regional branches.
The meeting commenced with a mobilization for the 2020 “Work Safety Month” under the theme “Eliminate Potential Hazards and Fortify the Safety Defense Line,” followed by a comprehensive deployment of the Beijing Branch’s Work Safety Month activities. The Group’s “Compilation of Work Safety Documents,” as well as the Management Measures for the Real-Name System for Migrant Workers and the Regulations on Wage Payment, were communicated, explained, and interpreted. In addition, the inspection results for engineering projects in the second quarter were evaluated and publicly reported, and the heads of regional branches and project managers signed the “Work Safety Responsibility Assurance Letter” on-site.
The heads of each regional office separately reported on their operational performance for the first half of the year and outlined their plans for the next phase of operations. They then engaged in a thorough discussion covering market conditions, project delivery performance, service capability development, identified weaknesses in operations, as well as measures to prevent and mitigate risks associated with project acquisition and operation. In addition, they conducted a briefing and dissemination of the model text for economic contracts used by the Beijing Branch.
The Finance Department of the Beijing Branch conducted training for finance personnel at regional branches on standardized project accounting practices, briefed and analyzed the progress and existing issues in the current project accounting review, and provided guidance on the payment of Hebei Province’s newly introduced local tax—the Environmental Protection Tax.
During the meeting, the Beijing Branch also convened a special symposium for project managers, during which participants engaged in lively discussions and exchanges on such topics as verification of schedule and cost changes under the impact of the pandemic, real-name management of migrant workers, challenges and uncertainties in project accounting and management, the prospects for the construction industry, and talent recruitment and development. Through these deliberations, confidence and resolve were strengthened in effectively managing and operating projects amid the current complex circumstances.
In his concluding remarks, Zhang Zhongda, Deputy General Manager of the Group and General Manager of the Beijing Branch, pointed out that the Beijing Branch should focus on the following four key tasks this year: first, implementing real-name management for rural migrant workers; second, advancing standardized project accounting; third, further expanding and developing markets; and fourth, ensuring safe production. He concluded by emphasizing that, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the current construction market remains challenging. All levels of management must overcome these difficulties, rigorously carry out epidemic prevention measures, steadfastly organize a comprehensive resumption of work and production, and thereby contribute to the company’s stable and healthy development. He urged all employees at the branch to remain confident, work diligently, strive with determination, jointly navigate these tough times, and make every effort to achieve all annual goals and tasks.
