The Beijing Company Trade Union Convenes the Congress of Trade Union Members

Recently, the Beijing Company’s trade union convened a congress of trade union members. Zhang Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, and General Manager of the Group; Ge Xuxin, Chairman of the Group’s Trade Union; and approximately 170 representatives of branch-company trade union members attended the meeting.
The conference heard and deliberated the work report of the trade union submitted by Comrade Xia Dejun, Chairman of the Fourth Term Trade Union, and the report on the examination of trade union funds submitted by Comrade Lu Peijun, Director of the Trade Union Funds Examination Committee. It also elected the new committees of the trade union and the funds examination committee for the Beijing Branch, Tianjin Branch, and Shijiazhuang Branch. Under the care and guidance of the higher-level trade union and the Party branches of the respective branches, and through the joint efforts of all delegates in attendance, the conference successfully concluded all its agenda items.
Ge Xuxin, Chairman of the Group Trade Union, addressed the meeting. He began by commending the previous Trade Union Committee for its efforts in educating and guiding the broad workforce and in strengthening the union’s own development. He then put forward several suggestions and requirements for the newly elected committee members: first, to elevate their political awareness and guide employees to unswervingly heed the Party’s call and follow its lead; second, to serve as effective advisors and assistants by aligning with the central tasks of the Beijing Company’s Party branch and the General Manager’s Office; third, to conduct solid ideological and political work among employees, publicizing and encouraging them to contribute to the Beijing Company’s high-quality, sustainable development; fourth, to strengthen the union’s internal development and deliver high-quality services to its members; and fifth, to engage in continuous learning and enhance their overall competence.
