Under the Scorching Sun, “Family Members” Extend Sincere Care

Since the onset of the “Dog Days” period, temperatures have continued to rise. Despite the sweltering heat, frontline employees of the Group Company have remained steadfast at their posts, making them the very people closest to the hearts of the trade union—its “family.” To effectively safeguard the health rights and interests of all workers, improve their working and living conditions, and ensure their safe passage through the summer, Ge Xuxin, Chairman of the Group Company’s Trade Union, led a team to visit construction sites firsthand. There, they warmly expressed their concern and extended heartfelt greetings to project management personnel and frontline laborers who are holding the line in the extreme heat, presenting them with heat-prevention and cooling supplies as a token of the trade union’s care and conveying the Group Company’s deep concern for its workforce.
Chairman Ge and his delegation visited and extended condolences to the project offices of the First Branch’s Qidong High-Standard Factory Building Project, the Qidong Middle School Apartment Building Project, the Third Branch’s Zhuxing Plot No. 8 Project Office, and the Zilang New World Project, among others.
At the construction site, Chairman Ge, on behalf of the Group Trade Union, expressed gratitude to all frontline construction workers who braved the scorching heat and remained steadfast at their posts, personally handing them towels, cooling supplies, beverages, and other heat-prevention and cooling items.
Chairman Ge conducted a thorough review of the construction progress at each project site, on-site safety measures, and provisions for the living and sanitary conditions of employees. He also engaged in candid discussions with project management personnel, emphasizing the need to rigorously implement and meticulously oversee heat-prevention and cooling measures, workplace safety, and labor protection, with the aim of creating optimal working and living conditions for frontline staff.
Chairman Ge emphasized that, given the current intense summer heat, all primary-level trade unions and project departments must earnestly implement measures to prevent heatstroke and reduce temperatures, as well as robust labor protection protocols; fully enforce all safety production measures; proactively address the challenges and inconveniences posed by the high-temperature weather; improve working conditions and living environments at construction sites; arrange work and rest schedules reasonably; strike a balance between work and leisure; and ensure both safe project operations and the personal safety of employees. Trade union officials are also urged to take the initiative to go directly to the grassroots level of projects, extend condolences to frontline workers, resolve their difficulties, and ensure that the broad workforce can safely get through the summer.
