Grand Ceremony Held for the Enclosure Closure of the Yum China Southwest Supply Chain Support Center Project

Recently, the Southwest Supply Chain Support Center project of Yum China held a grand ceremony to mark the completion of the building envelope enclosure. More than 200 representatives from the client’s relevant departments, as well as from the general contractor, supervision agency, and design firm—along with other participating parties—attended the event.
Yu Fengbin, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company and General Manager of the General Contracting Division, delivered a speech on behalf of the participating construction units. He emphasized that fulfilling the commitment to complete the enclosure structure by Christmas was no easy feat. The project team faced soaring prices for local materials, the challenges posed by the pandemic, and rigorous inspections by the local industry regulatory authorities. He expressed sincere gratitude to the leaders and industry peers who have shown concern and support for the project, as well as to the dedicated frontline workers, subcontractors, and labor crews. Finally, he urged the project team to continue upholding the “Iron Army” spirit, rigorously prioritize safety, pay close attention to detail, deliver a high-quality project to the owner, and wished the project every success.
This project officially commenced on May 14, 2021, with an intended completion and handover date of June 30, 2022. The overall planned site area is 34,382 square meters, the total floor area is 23,908 square meters, and the total building footprint is 19,535 square meters, comprising seven individual buildings. Under the unified leadership of the project management team, all members have worked in close collaboration, fully embodying the tenacious and hardworking “Iron Army” spirit characteristic of Nantong construction professionals. Adhering steadfastly to the principle of “safety first, quality paramount,” the team has rigorously followed the construction drawings and applicable codes and standards, striving for high standards and stringent requirements to ensure that each milestone is met on schedule and to the highest quality.
The Yum China Southwest Supply Chain Support Center project is Yum! Brands’ first logistics center initiative, making it of exceptional significance to the group—and equally remarkable for Nantong Construction Group. Through this project, we have amassed invaluable experience in logistics center project management, a milestone that will guide Nantong Construction Group’s future development. Participants unanimously expressed their commitment to leveraging this opportunity to further enhance their knowledge of civil engineering project management, thereby better preparing for the successful execution of subsequent foreign-invested projects. They pledged to forge ahead with courage and determination, striving to make even greater contributions to the group’s high-quality growth.
