To celebrate the Lantern Festival, strengthen employees’ sense of identity and belonging, and foster a company-wide spirit of unity and determination as we embark on a new journey. 2 month 15 On the morning of the day, the trade union of the First Branch held a themed event titled “Grateful for You, Moving Forward Together” to celebrate the Lantern Festival.
This celebratory event is divided into three segments: The first segment involves the distribution of surprise little gifts. The union has pre-ordered personalized Coca-Cola bottles, each printed with the employee’s name, “ 2022 “Happy Lantern Festival—let’s join forces and create even greater glory!” and “Thankful for you—let’s move forward together!” —upon seeing these Coca-Cola bottles emblazoned with such positive and heartwarming messages, employees were both pleasantly surprised and deeply touched.
The second segment is an online quiz and lantern-riddle guessing game. Given the dispersed locations of staff from various government agencies and project teams, the trade union has adopted innovative working approaches, leveraging the currently popular 2022 During the Winter Olympics, an engaging online quiz and lantern-riddle-guessing event was thoughtfully organized for all employees, combining entertainment with educational value. The event saw enthusiastic participation from a wide range of staff, who demonstrated high levels of enthusiasm. In the third segment, participants made “Bing Dwen Dwen” glutinous rice balls, infusing this traditional delicacy with the spirit of the Winter Olympics. Making tangyuan is a time-honored custom for the Lantern Festival, and staff members at the office divided tasks: some mixed the dough, others rolled it into balls, and still others boiled water. Everyone gathered around the table, bustling with energy as they crafted the tangyuan, exchanging tips and techniques as they went. Among the employees were seasoned tangyuan-makers and complete beginners; the experienced guided the novices, occasionally adding a bit of creative flair to the shapes and arrangements of the dumplings, and patiently teaching them how to shape “Bing Dwen Dwen” tangyuan—thus achieving “Bing Dwen Dwen freedom” through their own hands, so they no longer had to envy others’ Bing Dwen Dwen! Thanks to everyone’s hard work, by lunchtime the soft, chewy, and sweet tangyuan were ready. As they savored their handiwork, smiles lit up every face.
This Lantern Festival event not only promoted traditional folk culture and strengthened camaraderie among employees, but also enriched their cultural knowledge, fostered a strong atmosphere of widespread awareness and participation in the Winter Olympics, and enabled everyone to enjoy a warm, joyful, and relaxing Lantern Festival.
