3 On the 24th of the month, in order to effectively assist construction enterprises in coping with the current severe and complex market conditions, mitigating risks, overcoming difficulties, and fully promoting high-quality development of the city’s construction industry, Hua Wei, Deputy Director of the Nantong Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau, visited the company to conduct research and provide guidance. Accompanying him were Zhang Jingdong, Assistant Researcher at the Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau; Zhao Weidong, Director of the Construction Industry Management Division; Gu Cong, Deputy Director of the same division, and other leaders. Zhang Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group Company, and Huang Jing, Chief Economist, attended the research meeting.
At the research meeting, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang first extended a warm welcome to Deputy Director Hua Wei and his delegation for their visit to the company to conduct research and provide guidance, and expressed sincere gratitude for the Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau’s longstanding care and support for the company’s reform and development. Chief Economist Huang Jing then provided a detailed briefing on the company’s production and business performance in the first quarter, the resumption of work and production on engineering projects, as well as the difficulties and problems encountered. Chairman Zhang Xiangyang offered a thorough analysis of the severe challenges currently facing the construction market and the measures the company has taken to address them, while also outlining the main approaches and channels for seeking assistance from the Party Committee, the municipal government, and the competent authorities in resolving the practical difficulties confronting construction enterprises. Deputy Director Hua Wei fully commended the company’s commendable achievements since the beginning of the first quarter—balancing epidemic prevention and control with the resumption of work and production—and expressed heartfelt appreciation for the company’s long-standing adherence to the overarching principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability and its commitment to prudent operations. After analyzing the new circumstances confronting the city’s construction industry, he pointed out that the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government attach great importance to the current development of the city’s construction sector and place high priority on all efforts by Nantong’s construction firms to respond to the challenging market environment and to prevent and defuse major risks. He stated that, with regard to the practical difficulties faced by the city’s construction enterprises, the Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau will do its utmost to coordinate with the Party Committee and the municipal government to provide appropriate assistance in resolving these issues, thereby striving to promote the high-quality development of the city’s construction industry.
