Provincial People’s Congress Research Team Visits Company to Conduct a Study on “Going Global” Initiatives

8 On the 4th of the month, a delegation led by Zhao Zhengchi, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress (at the deputy-department level), Li Jie, a second-level researcher in the Committee’s office, and Lu Ting, Deputy Director of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Division of the Provincial Department of Commerce, visited our company to conduct a special research mission on “Providing Services and Support to Help Jiangsu Enterprises Go Global and Grow Stronger.” The delegation was accompanied by Wu Gang, Director of the Foreign Affairs, Ethnic and Religious Affairs, Overseas Chinese, and Taiwan Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of the Nantong Municipal People’s Congress, along with Deputy Director Cheng Jinle; Huang Liuchun, a second-level researcher at the Nantong Municipal Bureau of Commerce; and Chen Wei, Director of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Division. Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group, Chen Guoli, Vice President and General Manager of the Overseas Branch, and Zhang Xiyi, Vice President of the Overseas Company, also attended the research visit.
Prior to the commencement of the research visit, Committee Member Zhao Zhengchi and his delegation enthusiastically toured the exhibition showcasing the Group’s achievements over its 70-year history, expressing full recognition and high praise for the remarkable accomplishments and the profound, time-honored corporate culture and heritage accumulated over the past seven decades. During the subsequent symposium, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang first extended a warm welcome on behalf of the Group to Committee Member Zhao Zhengchi and his delegation for their visit to the company to conduct research and provide guidance. He then provided a brief overview of the Group’s “going global” initiatives and the key lessons learned from these efforts. He emphasized that, over the years, Nantong Construction Engineering Group has consistently placed great importance on developing and expanding its presence in overseas markets. As early as the formulation of the Group’s Tenth Five-Year Plan, the company explicitly committed to the comprehensive implementation of a “going global” strategy, and subsequently achieved the phased objectives of this strategy during the Eleventh, Twelfth, and Thirteenth Five-Year Plans. The Group also attaches great importance to cultivating a talent pool capable of meeting the demands of overseas operations, maintaining an international management team with integrated expertise in international project management, business development, legal affairs, finance and taxation, language, and public relations. Furthermore, the Group is highly focused on the sustainable development of its overseas operations, intensifying localization efforts while proactively fulfilling its social responsibilities and actively participating in public welfare and charitable activities, thereby truly integrating into local communities. As a result, the Group has become a leading force among Chinese construction enterprises in their global expansion.
Committee Member Zhao Zhengchi highly commended our company’s remarkable achievements in “going global,” and stated that he would incorporate our company’s experience and best practices in this area into the present research report, so as to further serve and support our province’s foreign economic enterprises in expanding their presence and strengthening their capabilities on the international stage.
