Chen Zhongqi, President of the UAE-Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Business Association, Visits Our Company for Inspection and Research

On the afternoon of September 25, Chen Zhongqi, President of the UAE Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Business Association, and his delegation paid a visit to the Group’s headquarters for an inspection and research tour. Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group; Zhang Zhongda, General Manager; Zhong Yiming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Chen Guoli, Deputy General Manager; and other leaders attended the inspection and research activities.
Prior to the start of the research visit, Chairman Chen Zhongqi and his delegation enthusiastically toured the exhibition showcasing the Group’s achievements over its 70-year history, expressing high praise and sincere admiration for the remarkable accomplishments and the rich, time-honored corporate culture and heritage that the company has cultivated over the past seven decades. During the subsequent symposium, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang first extended a warm welcome on behalf of the Group to Chairman Chen Zhongqi and his delegation for their visit to the company to conduct research and provide guidance. He then provided a brief overview of the company’s history and its reform and development in recent years, with particular emphasis on its overseas market strategy and operations. He noted that, over the years, the company has steadfastly pursued a “going global” strategy: while consolidating its traditional presence in Africa, it has in recent years intensified efforts to develop the Middle Eastern market, achieving significant breakthroughs in engineering contracting in the United Arab Emirates, where the value of current project contracts exceeds US$100 million. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the UAE Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Business Association for its longstanding care and support in helping Nantong Construction Engineering expand and establish its foothold in the UAE market, and expressed the hope that the two organizations will continue to strengthen cooperation in the future, leveraging their respective strengths to achieve mutual benefit and common development.
President Chen Zhongqi expressed high appreciation and commendation for the company’s achievements in reform and development over recent years, particularly its successful “going global” initiatives. He then provided a brief overview of the UAE Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Business Association, noting that since its establishment five years ago, the association has consistently regarded the promotion of China–UAE friendship and people-to-people exchanges as its core mission. It has fully leveraged its role as a bridge and link, rallying the hearts, pooling the strengths, and harnessing the wisdom of overseas Chinese, while uniting Jiangsu-based enterprises and Jiangsu expatriates residing in the UAE. The association has also actively fought the pandemic and proactively worked to boost China–UAE economic and trade cooperation. As a dynamic force in China’s construction industry’s international expansion, Nantong Construction Engineering has vigorously explored the UAE engineering contracting market, achieving initial breakthroughs, establishing a solid foothold, and attaining remarkable results. President Chen stated that the UAE Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Business Association will, as always, continue to serve as a vital bridge and link, bringing together the collective strength of Jiangsu overseas Chinese and Chinese nationals in the UAE, providing unwavering support and assistance to Nantong Construction Engineering in its business development and market expansion, offering warm and attentive services, and helping the company strengthen and grow its presence in the UAE market. In doing so, the association will also contribute new achievements to enhancing China–UAE exchanges and cooperation and fostering greater mutual understanding and affinity between the two peoples.
