Chairman Zhang Xiangyang Inspects the Qidong Engineering Project

On the afternoon of October 26, Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of the Group Company, inspected the under-construction project in Qidong undertaken by the First Branch Company, gaining an in-depth understanding of the project’s implementation and putting forward specific requirements for further improving project management. Qiu Lin, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company and General Manager of the First Branch Company, accompanied the inspection.
Chairman Zhang Xiangyang successively inspected the Qidong Taigiao Village Relocation Housing Project, the Former Thermal Power Plant Site Development Project, and the Phase II High-Standard Factory Building Project. At each site, he meticulously examined the quality of the physical works, workplace safety, and civilized construction practices, while engaging in thorough discussions with project management personnel to gain an in-depth understanding of project planning and scheduling, quality and safety management, cost control, and any challenges encountered. At the Taigiao Village Relocation Housing Project site, after listening to the project team’s briefing, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang emphasized that, during the pandemic, while rigorously implementing epidemic prevention and control measures, it is even more critical to maintain unwavering vigilance over workplace safety and to prevent all types of accidents. He also instructed the branch company and the project team to strengthen communication and coordination with the client, intensify efforts to collect outstanding project payments, and ensure adequate funding to guarantee the timely, high-quality, and high-standard completion of the project. At the Former Thermal Power Plant Site Development Project, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang expressed high expectations for the young newly appointed project managers, encouraging them to study diligently, engage in hands-on practice, and continuously improve. He urged them to collaborate closely with senior colleagues, learn from one another, and mutually reinforce each other’s strengths to achieve collective progress. In addition, he set specific requirements for project execution and excellence in engineering, stressing that the project team should adopt a mindset that the construction site itself is the market, strive to make this project a model residential development in Qidong urban area, and thereby enhance the company’s brand image. At the Phase II High-Standard Factory Building Project, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang commended the preliminary work carried out by the project team and directed them to maintain strict quality control, uphold rigorous safety standards, and advance the final stages of construction in a swift and orderly manner to ensure smooth project delivery. During his inspections, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang also called on the branch company and the project team to attach great importance to talent development, provide ample opportunities for team members to gain experience, identify and effectively utilize young talents, and cultivate qualified successors to ensure the enduring vitality of Nantong Construction Engineering as a century-old enterprise.
Over the past five years, the First Branch has proactively expanded into the Qidong market, securing a total of 11 projects in Qidong City, including schools, industrial plants, resettlement housing, and commercial residential developments, with a combined gross floor area of 460,000 square meters and a total contract value of RMB 1.5 billion. The successful execution of these projects has earned high recognition and full affirmation from client organizations and all sectors of Qidong society, thereby laying a solid foundation for continuously consolidating and strengthening our presence in the Qidong market.
