On December 10, the Urban–Rural Integrated Development Project in the Shuitu Area of the Liangjiang New Area, implemented by JianGong Installation, was honored with a letter of gratitude from the general contractor, China Machinery & Equipment Corporation Engineering Co., Ltd. In the letter, the general contractor expressed its heartfelt appreciation to all members of the project team for their tireless efforts throughout the construction process, as well as for JianGong Installation’s strong support and unwavering trust in the project. Despite challenging conditions such as tight schedules and heavy workloads, the project team rose to the occasion, persevered with determination, and fully embodied the Nantong Construction workforce’s corporate spirit of “hardship-driven entrepreneurship and pioneering boldness.”

The Urban–Rural Integrated Development Project in the Shuitu Area of the Liangjiang New Area is located in the Shuitu High-tech Industrial Park of the Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing. It represents Corning Inc.’s second investment and construction project in Chongqing. The project has a total floor area of 110,800 square meters, with the combined contract value for Phases II and III amounting to approximately RMB 150 million. The planned completion date is March 2023. The project primarily involves the construction of four front-end furnace-forming production lines for 8.5-generation and above display glass substrates. The scope of the contract encompasses architectural works, HVAC systems, water supply and drainage, electrical systems, power distribution, low-voltage systems, automated control, and space management, among others.
Under the leadership of Yu Fengbin, Deputy General Manager of the Group and General Manager of Construction & Installation, and with close coordination from the headquarters departments, the project team has proactively overcome multiple challenges this year, including extreme summer heat in Chongqing, power restrictions, the COVID-19 pandemic, rising raw-material prices, and supply disruptions. Throughout project execution, the team prioritized safety, ensured high-quality workmanship, and maintained robust production, successfully achieving key milestones and objectives. In doing so, they fully leveraged the company’s expertise in mechanical and electrical installation and embodied the “iron army” spirit of being willing to take on tough challenges and deliver decisive victories. As a result, the project was completed on schedule, earning high praise from Paul, Global Expansion Project Director at Corning Display Technologies, who noted: “The Chongqing Corning project—the glass-substrate furnace production line—is the fastest-built and highest-quality among all Corning’s global projects, making it a model and benchmark project for Corning worldwide.”
The diligent efforts of all management personnel in the project department have earned widespread recognition and praise, greatly inspiring the entire project team. Everyone has pledged to take this as an opportunity to thoroughly review and distill project management experience, continue to strive with determination and drive, devote themselves wholeheartedly to ensuring the timely and quality completion of all subsequent tasks assigned to the project department, further enhance project management standards, and make new contributions to building the Nantong Construction brand!
