Third Branch Conducts Team-Building Activities for the May Fourth Youth Day

As the May Fourth Youth Day approaches, in order to carry forward and promote the spirit of May Fourth and showcase the vigorous and ambitious demeanor of young people in the new era, on April 25, under the leadership of Wang Shaobo, Chairman of the Group Company’s Trade Union, and Ji Yan, Deputy Director of the Party and Mass Work Department, the youth League members of the Third Branch traveled to Yonglian Village in Zhangjiagang City to conduct a team-building activity themed “Embarking on a New Journey and Making Contributions in the New Era.”
Under the guidance of the village history docent, participants first visited the Yonglian Exhibition Hall, where they gained an in-depth understanding of the village’s more than three decades of development. Through this visit, they profoundly appreciated the dramatic transformation and progress of the socialist new countryside. Subsequently, by touring the Jiangnan Agricultural Culture Park, listening to a Party lesson delivered by the village Party secretary, and engaging in situational education activities that examined exemplary cases of Yonglian Village’s efforts to overcome difficulties and tackle tough challenges, young employees were encouraged to translate their learning into concrete actions that solve problems and advance their work. This initiative also aimed to inspire them to carry forward the red heritage and assume their responsibilities in the new era.
The 30 employees participating in the team-building event were divided into groups through ice-breaking activities and team-building exercises. They took part in the fun-filled “Sheep, Sheep, Sheep” game, the arm-and-eyesight-testing “Attack-and-Defense Archery” activity, the heartwarming “Long March with One Sheet of Paper and One Pen” challenge, and the thrilling and entertaining frisbee game. Through collaboration with their teammates, they ran and sweated, creating exhilarating scoring moments and unleashing the dynamic, forward-moving energy of a vibrant team.
Throughout the team-building activity, participants listened, observed, discussed, and reflected, thereby broadening their horizons, expanding their knowledge, and opening up new lines of thinking. All expressed that the event was highly rewarding: while gaining a profound appreciation for the earth-shattering transformations in the socialist new countryside, they also learned from the Party members and cadres of Yonglian Village the spirit of courageously shouldering responsibilities, setting exemplary standards, and striving to catch up and surpass others in their work and entrepreneurship. They deeply realized that every step forward taken with determination is imbued with the hardships of struggle and the vitality of youth, and pledged to uphold their solemn vows by stepping up as young people, translating the “May Fourth” spirit into concrete actions as its practitioners and inheritors, staying true to our roots and safeguarding our core values, remaining down-to-earth, and contributing our youthful energy and relentless drive to the high-quality development of Nantong Construction Engineering.
