Chairman Zhang Xiangyang Attends the Jiangsu Province Symposium on High-Quality “Going Global” Initiatives for Construction Enterprises

The delegates visited the “China State Construction’s Path of Overseas Development” exhibition hall, watched a corporate promotional video on CSCEC International, and listened to a briefing by CSCEC International on its regionalized overseas operations, integrated domestic–international development, and cooperation with Jiangsu-based construction enterprises.

During the symposium, Chairman Zhang Xiangyang provided an overview of the Group’s basic profile and its overseas operations and management. He noted that Nantong Construction Engineering has for many years steadfastly pursued a “going global” strategy, steadily expanding into international markets while deepening its presence in the domestic market. Through this approach, the company has cultivated a highly qualified team of international project management professionals, amassed extensive experience in the construction of overseas projects and localized project management, and established a mature overseas business operating system. He stated that the company will, with the utmost sincerity and pragmatic action, proactively align itself with all cooperation needs of China State Construction International, particularly in core areas such as engineering contracting in countries along the Belt and Road Initiative and localized project operations, thereby fostering comprehensive, multi-level, and wide-ranging collaboration. The goal is to create a favorable synergy characterized by “state-owned enterprise leadership, local coordination, complementary strengths, and joint problem-solving,” working closely with China State Construction International.

Zhang Fang, on behalf of the China International Contractors Association, provided an overview of the current development landscape of the international engineering industry and the status of China’s overseas contracting business, analyzed future industry trends, and put forward recommendations for enterprises to deepen their participation in high-quality joint efforts to build the Belt and Road Initiative.

In his address, Fei Shaoyun expressed full appreciation for this conference and set forth clear requirements for Jiangsu’s construction enterprises to pursue high-quality “going global” initiatives. He pointed out that the international engineering contracting industry currently enjoys broad prospects, making it imperative—and highly promising—for enterprises to expand their overseas operations. He expressed the hope that the China International Contractors Association will further strengthen its tailored guidance, training, and support for Jiangsu’s construction firms as they “go global”; and that China State Construction International will fully leverage its role as a leading state-owned enterprise to establish long-term, stable, and close partnerships with more Jiangsu-based construction companies, jointly developing key overseas markets.

Gao Bo stated that, looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China State Construction International will, under the leadership of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban–Rural Development and the guidance of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, uphold the “Harmony and Cooperation” corporate culture. Leveraging its strengths in international operations, end-to-end industrial chain integration, technical talent, and global resource coordination, the company will work closely with Jiangsu’s construction enterprises to promote collective overseas expansion and complementary advantages, thereby making greater contributions to the high-quality joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
