Drawing on the Strength of Aid-to-Qinghai Efforts to Boldly Pave New Paths for Development — The Group Company’s Trade Union Organizes a Viewing of the Aid-to-Qinghai-Themed Film “Come Closer, I Can See You”

To further consolidate the spiritual strength of employees and inspire a collective drive to overcome challenges and forge ahead, in alignment with the company’s core mission of ensuring survival and pursuing development, on November 7 the Group’s Trade Union meticulously organized a collective screening for nearly 200 employees of “Close to Me, I See You,” a Jiangsu–Qinghai aid film co-produced by Nantong Radio and Television Station of Jiangsu Province and the Integrated Media Center of Hainan Prefecture in Qinghai Province. Through this cinematic narrative, employees were able to appreciate the spirit of dedication and draw renewed motivation to move forward.

Based on the Jiangsu–Qinghai “Love and Light” public-service initiative and drawing on exemplary cases of paired assistance between Nantong City and Guide County in Qinghai, the realistic film “Close to Me, I See You” employs delicate storytelling and heartfelt emotion to recount the moving tale of Shen Ziqing, an ophthalmologist from Nantong (modeled after aid-to-Qinghai cadre Chen Yaohua), who braved mountains and seas, overcame altitude sickness and severe shortages of medical resources, and dedicated himself to performing cataract surgeries for Tibetan compatriots in Qinghai. Throughout the film, the aid-to-Qinghai team not only restored sight to thousands of patients with superb medical skills but also took on the responsibility of “teaching people to fish” by cultivating local medical talent. Their decade-long commitment exemplifies the deep bond of “unity between Jiangsu and Qinghai,” and the spirit of tackling tough challenges, selfless dedication, and pragmatic innovation it portrays has struck a powerful chord among the employees in attendance.

Throughout the film, many employees were deeply moved by its poignant details. When they saw Shen Ziqing working through the night to draft a report in order to secure medical equipment and braving the bitter cold to travel deep into pastoral areas to provide free medical services, and when they heard Tibetan villagers express their heartfelt gratitude with the phrase “Tashi Delek,” they promptly pulled out their phones to capture these touching moments, silently conveying their respect.

Every challenge faced by the medical aid workers in Qinghai on the plateau is akin to the obstacles encountered by our Nantong construction professionals during critical project milestones—each one overcome through perseverance and ingenuity. The spirit embodied in the film—that “there are always more solutions than problems”—perfectly captures our corporate ethos of “hardship-driven entrepreneurship and pioneering boldness.” In today’s increasingly competitive construction industry, ensuring survival and pursuing development requires every employee to embrace a sense of responsibility and accountability, just as the aid doctors do, and to tackle tough challenges head-on in their respective roles. Moreover, “breaking through adversity and forging new beginnings” demands that all members of the organization unite in a concerted effort, with hearts and minds aligned and strengths pooled together.

The spirit of dedication and the determination to overcome challenges embodied in this film-viewing event have not only been deeply etched in the hearts of every employee but have also been transformed into a powerful driving force for the company’s sustained, steady, and healthy development. As the company continues to deepen its presence in the construction industry and steadfastly shoulder its social responsibilities, this spirit has taken concrete form in employees’ proactive efforts to excel in their respective roles, helping the company break through adverse trends and reinvent itself in the face of challenges.
